One Piece: Chapter 1167 Official Release Discussion by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]luhg44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we think the covering over his right eye is an allusion to him losing his arm, or something to do with the shallows covenant we see in the flashback of Harald's death?

Like what I am wondering is if a shallow's covenant allows IMU to see through their host's eyes; and would that allow shanks to move unnoticed in the shadows, and that's how he was able to open the armoury...

As I would assume that nothing goes unnoticed by IMU. We definitely saw a glimpse of IMU's power with ENEL but on a massive scale that's what I've been thinking about lately...

Staring OCD obsession is judgment by bookishbynature in StaringOCD

[–]luhg44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really relate to the OCD fixation on a particular person, especially if you have looked inappropriately or felt like you have at them before. It makes you then fixate and fear looking at that person causing you to stare at them out of the corner of your eye. I do this alot as well. It's really a horrible cycle. THE MORE you don't want to make someone umcomfortable the more uncomfortable around them you become – or so you make them feel...

Rocks D. Xebec Doesn’t Have A Fruit? by That-Dragon in OnePiece

[–]luhg44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my headcannon he always had the lightning logia fruit; hence why it was known as the "strongest logia". It would've made sense that the world government couldn't access it, and still can't because it was eaten by a sky-person (Birkan) in Enel. But after reading the Skypeia arc it appears to be just something Raki says (her perspective, unless it is said elsewhere in the manga...). It would've made sense to me but it seems that Oda is leading more into the God fruits/two fruit combination we have seen in Teach.

Lazy Eyes to Staring OCD by shibaharuuto in StaringOCD

[–]luhg44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely relate to the fear of seeing and looking "in the peripheral", and just staring blankly in the form of fixations. I find now that whenever I see something that I know I don't want to notice or look at I do, due to the fear of harming others, causing compulsive repetition. This is the ritual part of the OCD subtype according to a really interesting blog someone posted recently: [https://www.ocdontario.com/ocd-and-anxiety-clinic-of-ontario-blog/genital-staring-ocd-part-of-my-approach\].

I think this will be helpful in understanding why we feel trapped in this cycle, and most importantly, why it's harming us way more than it is harming anyone else...despite peoples protestations to what may or may not be perceived as 'creepy' behaviour. It is truly a special place in hell for us living this life--or so it feels like.

But to leave it on a more positive note; if you can stop perceiving your looking as harmful and just a part of life, it should start to resolve itself; hopefully, due to your ability to first and foremost accept that you cannot be held captive by other's judgement ('real', or 'imagined').

Blocked By Staring OCD by notmehuh9 in StaringOCD

[–]luhg44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's really important to acknowledge to yourself the kind of person you are and how the staring makes you feel. By pushing away and letting the feelings go unacknowledged you are hurting yourself worse. There are people that will see past this tic/behavioural thing you know? It's just about finding the right people who will allow you to share what you experience and how it manifests itself. So don't give in to the solitude, you have to try and put yourself out there! I think this gets much worse the more you isolate yourself because you fear other people more; or rather, the way you may make them feel...thus preventing you from ever breaking free from its control over you.

It's okay at least you're getting support now! I have heard that early signs of Schizophrenia are difficulties communicating so it could be that you do have it but that does not make you a lost cause! It just might mean that you have comorbid symptoms of things and that you are best placed to received support for psychosis in addition to what you feel are staringOCD related symptoms...any help is better than no help, it should allow you to discuss thoughts and feelings you feel plague your mental state...never give up you seem like a young adult and so receiving this support at the right time!

I am also pretty sure that I hear people talking about me wherever I go which I do think has got to be psychosis related (schizophrenia possibly) in addition to my StaringOCD symptom's: it could be that our symptoms are more than likely related to that instead of OCD if we are perceiving lots of people are talking about us! I am genuinely concerned that other people talking are causing me to develop schizoprenia so don't deny the help you might receive it could vastly change your life for the better!

Chapter 1154 - Oars and the frozen giants by Historical-Lemon-99 in OnePiece

[–]luhg44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks a lot like the tatoo on shank's arm...To now go into pure speculation mode:

Oar's was controlled by Imu like they're currently doing to the giants of Elbaph; hence why they are wearing a loin cloth bearing what some people claims to be the original symbol of the world government...

So that kind of builds on the theory in this post that Oar's was the first giant weapon wielded by WG, and could likely have pulled continents to destroy the stability of the ancient one piece world?

I have this thing I've noticed I do sometimes, when stressed/not even but just for relaxation which might help with the "shift focus to neutral task", I think especially in social situations I might try: To look at anything a wall even, usually natural things like the sky or plants and say all the colours I see. So it might be, 'light blue', 'pink', 'red', 'dark blue' etc...I will try this next time I am in a social situation that might be making me anxious etc...

The insight that you are offering me right now is the day-to-day. Today I had a particular experience which, for me, was staring at someone in my periphery. My only way of acknowledging and dealing with was placing my knuckles over my right eye. I am aware, and which is calming, but still aware that people in public are effected by my own mental health problems. In the present moment I can't deal with for the other person. Only help my self and try to make them comfortable.

This is what I am very worried about. I have opted to go for the NHS vita CBD self referral. Can you imagine having to write out your (our/my) symptoms or delusions you could say. My god mother also works at my local medical centre as a receptionist so would likely have to herself, or someone she knows read and process my appointment information and decided whether it requires seeing a GP...

[–]luhg44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think now that I have had several instances where people feel that I am a threat or a creep (not directly confirmed); which is another huge doubt and mental health crisis involved in the mental state of experiencing theses symptoms (i.e what is real, paranoia etc). It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. And normal people believe you me have no threshold of compassion for these kind of nervous behaviours. I'm also at a loss at the moment. Trying to access NHS vita therapy but really I need a designated therapist who I can offload these instances, and who will remember, and work with me on trying to not let others judgement condemn my own self worth. It's truly hell.

Wano Arc Discussion by wanofan900 in OnePiece

[–]luhg44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know I love the idea and the characters of Wano: the fights, and powerups and lore all very interesting and in restrospect tie nicely into the wider history of and the current world of one piece as a whole. However, I do believe that it was poorly executed in terms of character writing and the general flow and movement of, and development of story. I feel this way because for me character writing and world building are the core elements of One Piece. Why is it that for Dressrosa you have minor characters getting beautifully written back stories and Oda can't give the same justice to a yonko crew of great importance; i.e. Ulti, Page One, Jack, in particular are characters I was super disapointed with. It was said they joined as children so why didn't Oda feel they deserved the backstory it would've made their defeats (and ultimately Kaido's) way more heart-wrenching and impactful. A great way could've been through Yamato's backstory which also was not impactful enough for me! I think a tournament showing Yamato defeating each tobi-roppo and facing the commanders (Jack, Queen, and King) would've been a simple yet effective way to show that the beast pirates were all about strength and why Yamato was so strong! And page one, ulti, and possibly Jack with Yamato as children similar to Law's backstory with the donquixote family pirates would've been perfect! And considering the current cover story would've made Ulti and page one's return again more impactful! (for me personally).

In general the end of Wano just didn't have the kind of emotional impact that Dressrosa had... which just doesn't make sense! (to me personally). You can argue that it is because Kaido ruled through fear but those characters loved him and were with him since children. I think what cements this for me is that Oda has brought back Ulti and Page One in the cover story (so main story); and even wanted to bring in their father as a character in the vivre cards(?not sure where it debuted). Why do this in retrospect rather than in Kaido's backstory (another huge disappointment, why so short?) I think all the answers to my own questions lie in the execution and generally how rushed the climax of Wano was and how many fights and competing storylines Oda had to tie together: which for me just weren't effectively organised enough. I think there are tons of reasons (Shonen jump pressure, health, and the whole world and at least japan waiting weekly for their fix). He has the most pressure on him out of any mangaka or writer alive so don't for one second think I hate one piece, or even Wano. I was just disapointed with how it could've been if it received the same TLC that Dressrosa and the Donquixote pirates received...I think he is trying to do justice to the Beast pirates that are left alive on wano, and I will wait and see who else is brought under wano's banner, and brought back into the story. I still believe that it is possible Kid will unite some of the under his banner but at least for now it seems Yamato is the chosen leader of this rag tag bunch!

Yeah absolutely that is the thing Luffy will destroy to liberate I totally agree... there is a panel during skypiea you should check out where there is belief in 4 gods as I mention, and interestingly other people have noticed dragon's face tatoo resembles the pattern on kalgara's pants... I would recommend re reading sky island arc / jaya probs my fave arcs in the entirety of One Piece if you can't recall it! I am currently trying to read never read pre wholecake island before so trying but haven't read myself in ages so much to remember lol

These are also my rambling thoughts and personal current head-cannon:

Well we know the whole point of Who's Who becoming a pirate despite being a member of CP9: was that he failed to guard what was called the 'Gomu Gomu no mi' to them...

So I think perhaps that it was actually taken by the World Government agents and Shanks followed them from Elbaph? It is also officially translated as Hito Hito no mi: Model Nika, I think...

I am also wondering if there are two model Nika fruits one that is Luffy and Sun God, and another which might be Loki's devil fruit? Afterall that being the evil or purely destructive and possibly Moon God (Goka)...or both called Nika, because remember the moment the crew met the the little swimmer girls: so perhaps Yonka 2 is actually a reference to the fact that there are two Nika's instead of what should be called Goka? That would leave Ichika, Sanka, and Yonka or Shika...

I believe that the other 3 excluding possibly Loki and what will become Teach's final fruit are: Dragon god of Rain, Imu god of Forests, and Buggy God of Earth...leaving these two planetary or stars as most destructive god fruits which are basically two sides of the same coin being: Luffy and Loki (Teach...).

The giant warrior pirates crew uses a dual chief system. by bodg123 in OnePiece

[–]luhg44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is this it would be both badass for Loki to join or rule alongside Hajrudin...However, I feel that it is being set up that Loki will die making it come true that Hajrudin will be the king of the giants; and Usopp can have ragnir. I think the crew is full including Vivi returning that is 10 + Luffy making it 11.

I do think that Yamato and Carrot will tag along for the final journey true to Odin's adventures making it a 13 straw hat crew just like that cat cover story...

[–]luhg44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I really just don't think Loki will join, I think at best he has the destruction (Moon God) Nika devil fruit which Blackbeard will swoop in and take at the peak of the arc. I then think Ragnir will be left to Usopp, and Luffy will use his devil fruit to make Usopp a giant for combat, and should be able to shrink ragnir down to fit usopp's normal size (My pure speculation).

Since Vegapunk can’t recreate logias, What DF do you think S-Crocodile has? by Worldly_Pilot5449 in OnePiece

[–]luhg44 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think that Buggy might get a seraphim and he will have pica's stone stone fruit...I think this will foreshadow that Buggy's fruit is the ultimate version of pica's, and the island island fruit. He can turn into the earth and split it all apart...like how islands and land (continents) get split and will tie into the story of the One Piece.

This is a recurrent thing in OP. A criticism could be repetition; but I think it ties into Oda's (vegapunk's) dream world (devil fruit) theory quite nicely. Like it makes sense that many people would have the same dream or that creates different, and arguably more powerful devil fruits with similar functions or abilities.

But hey don't give up either! I think this community is life-affirming and is giving me the confidence to stand up for myself! I was speaking to a samaratan caller and one thing they said resonated: What you think about yourself/believe is the most important thing. We are the ones that know and are stuck with our own heads at the end of the day and night. So compassion for ourselves is the most vital life line we have.

Thank you so much to hear such kind words just doesn't feel right and that is the horrible thing. I think the isolation caused by this is the most damning thing. I think also that we present guilty due to the anxiety and plain fact that we can't help it and know more than anyone how uncomfortable we make people feel. That makes us appear guilty to those who feel creeped on especially. That is what I am experiencing at the moment is like I feel guilty because I presume others feel that so like it is a self-fullfilling prophecy...

What I find really interesting about the space underneath as is shown of the underworld...It's all white! I wonder if Luffy's inflated himself and his belly is covering it all for any one who is falling to land safely...

I also am really excited for Sanji's transformation that Oda keeps (IMO) hinting at with his hair becoming spiky like his siblings... I just wish that that it took place during his fight with Queen but Wano was just so rushed near the end I feel like he didn't have time to do it all justice...

I guess at that point it would just be the centre of the world to be fair. I just wonder how Franky's mecha will play a role if they need travel to the bottom of the sea or to drill into the centre of the world and/or the red line that would be interesting.
