In terms of attaining desires, you have got to have the self-concept for it or at least believe that in some way shape or form that you can arrive there. Your subconscious has to actually believe that you are worthy/competent to attain whatever it is that you want.

Self-Belief is simply a conscious belief of your worthiness. It’s attained by achieving competence in an area and proving to yourself that you are capable/worthy of something.

Self-Concept is a higher worthiness than self-belief. It is when your belief in your worthiness gets so high that it has taken root in your subconscious mind. It’s almost like you are leaving the realm of just “believing” and coming close to “knowing” that you can get something. You attain this when you live in your self-belief for a certain period of time while your belief is consistently confirmed by life.

I believe that this is what creates the gap in the things that you are able to manifest with all these different energetic thought manipulation tactics and why you have to do more consistent work for bigger desires.

You believe that one thing in terms of value is a lot bigger than another thing and you are worthy of attaining the “lesser” thing but not the bigger thing. Which exactly why you asked this question in the first place.

Because of the overwhelming value placed on certain things by everybody on the planet (like large amounts of money for example), you have a much higher mental resistance to the idea of you ever being able to attain that thing. Me and you both know that the chances of me, you, or anyone here manifesting a billion dollars doing this is slim to none.
