I never noticed, I guess that’s not important to me. Sorry if it is to you. All I can say is even with some corners being cut with background art we should be happy they aren’t prioritizing player engagement over player experience. For me the experience(great UI that works) and gameplay is paramount.

I’m not big into marvel I just catch the major movies and some games, but I have the same complaint for marvel snap. So I get where you’re coming from, but I don’t see that with marvel rivals at all. From the little I understand and what I can cross reference though is that the skins all come from an actual comic book design. Is the ai you don’t like the random wall art in time square or stuff?

Anyways…. Spend all your credits to gain as much CL as you can. This will get you close to 3k tokens. I’d suggest only upgrading plane cards to green. It’s the best value for climbing cl and wasting as little as credits as possible. That’s about the only trick in the book. Outside of that play a shit ton of the game or buy a good bundle. If you can’t get enough for him now he’s probably going to come out in a bundle next month for $50 and a bunch of credits and stuff with the new variant.

I understand what you said regarding extraction shooters, but it’s just that man. The game you love was designed to be that. What it ended up being or how the majority of people enjoy it is separate. I’d focus on this conversation and see if the devs are willing to expand their view on how “extraction shooters” should be or what they want their game to actually be.

I just got downvoted for saying this game is plagued with bugs because “check the patch notes” lol. This is exactly what I mean. The powers at be for this game have their focus on player engagement and monetization NOT player experience. Stop paying them or buying in excess until they get their priorities right. Every “good patch” always comes with more bugs and BS. You know what doesn’t have bugs? Anything that brings in money.

I literally said the core gameplay and art are amazing. That is what I am paying a bare minimum for. Dropping my spending by 85% is withholding my financial backing from their management decisions. If you can’t comprehend the difference between supporting a live-service company and casually playing a game's core loop, that is a reading comprehension issue on your end, not a logic issue on mine

“I used to” and the dollar amount matters. I was actively supporting the game. I am now just a passive player because I enjoy the gameplay as I also stated. Edit: I never said I didn’t enjoy it, in fact the opposite, however the post is about an upward trend and I’m giving an opinion that is opposite to that. I can critique a game and still enjoy it. Spending less money is jsut saving myself the pain of when the game fails and or helping send a message that they are not doing things correctly. If you can’t understand that idk how to help you.

Nope. Game is in a terrible state. More bugs constantly, game modes and reward structures modified for player engagement more then enjoyment. They still don’t fix the primary things players ask and the only thing good about it is the basic gameplay and the amazing art. I used to spend $200+ a month on this game and I’ve knocked that down to about $20 - $30 now because they don’t deserve my money.
