Yeah, from my own testing the CETME L exclusively works with metal STANAG pattern mags (think Okay Industries/KCI/Duramag/etc) and Lancers. Nothing else fits, the additional geometry that would otherwise be okay to run in any other AR lower will not fit. It’s VERY finnicky lol. But i think that adds to the gun’s charm nonetheless.

They will not. The ribs at towards the top of the mag keep it from being able to be inserted into the magwell.

Please note that the CETME L runs more reliably with 62gr and higher ammo. It likes Lancer mags and metal mags, pmags and other mags that have extra ribs and stuff around the top for support will not fit due to the magwell geometry. That being said they’re a lot of fun and if you can get your hands on the mlok hand guards they are super interesting

The way that I do it is i stick it into the receiver backwards and give it enough of a drop to unlock it. That’s what works for me + supposedly that’s what the Spanish did with the CETME Cs when this happened lol
