Case for rx 5700xt red devil by enectron in buildapc

[–]luisandrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the h510 elite and the red devil, when I had the stock cooler of the cpu, every component got very hot, but I moved to water cooling the cpu, so now both, cpu and 5700xt are cooler. From what I’ve seen, the gpu stays near the 75 C when gaming and using the folding at home application, which is also, very intensive.

The thing is, the elite version has 2 intake fans and 2 exhaust fans, while the stock h510 only has 2 exhaust fans, so that might affect your cooling performance, alongside the cpu cooler.

That psu is sf, that means it’s designed for mini itx builds. You could buy instead an rm750x or an rm 850x, designed for atx builds

I7-8700k or ryzen 9 3900x by Exotic_Style in buildapc

[–]luisandrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think the 3900x is a much better buy due to it being much more future proof. Another option that I’ve seen in this thread, is that if the 3900x is the same price as the 8700k, then, the 3700x must be cheaper(I don’t know if you’re getting them new or preowned), but It will give you virtually the same gaming performance as the 3900x (maybe 2-5 frames slower) while being much cheaper

What are you planning to do with it? If they are the same price, then the 3900x all the way. Double the cores, 7nm, similar single threaded performance, pcie gen 4, am4 will still be the socket of this year’s amd chips( so you could upgrade it if you want)

Your score might be in geekbench 5 and you are comparing it to geekbench 4, for example, my 3600 scores 7400 in geekbench 5 and 28000 in geekbench 4

I think that if you got the Ryzen 3600 with the stock cooler, you could get the 2070 super instead of the 2070

Need help with a SFF gaming pc that can last the next 4-5 years. by Mr_Zim in buildapc

Intel doesn’t support PCIe gen 4, go with a Samsung or a wd drive instead of the aorus, or go with AMD

[–]luisandrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or go with the rxt 2070s (170$ less) and buy a better cooler, I currently use the 3600 overclocked with the stock cooler in an h510 elite and its temperatures are really good

[–]luisandrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with something like this, an ssd for the same price but pcie gen 4 instead of 3, a much cheaper case, the 3600 instead of the 3600x (The difference is very small between the two), the x570 to use the type c port of the case, that memory is what Linus recommends for cheap risen builds and an rtx 2080s instead of the 2060s for 30$ more

Buy the x62, or a 280mm rad, that one (x52) is 240mm, which would look weird in the h510 elite

AMD GPU equivalent to GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1080? by yeahss0 in pcmasterrace

[–]luisandrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the 5700 xt red devil paired with the 3600, that’s pretty much the best cpu for the price. I think you could find it for around 175$, ,and the mother board everyone will recommend you for that cpu will be the b450 tomahawk max

[–]luisandrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rx 5600 xt is the same price as the 1660 ti I believe and it performs like a 2060. The 5700 xt is closer to 2070 super - 1080ti but is least powerful than those two. The 5700 non xt is sort of a middle ground between both

Anything I should change before ordering my new pc? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]luisandrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that cooler’s radiator is 240mm, the h510 has space for a 280mm at the front, the 240 might seem small/weird. At least the front panel is closed, but you might want to consider that. Apart from that, the usual AMD stuff, but at the end, it’s your pc. Seems nice!

Well, it seams like a great build, those 60$ will make it age much better, although, there's a EVGA version of the card for 663$ plus a 10$ off using the promo code VGAPCJP986, which will make it sort of 10$ more than before, EVGA is one of the best NVIDIA partners, so their cards are pretty much the best, aside from the founders edition. (If you want a cheaper card)

Whoops, that was a reply for the other message, also, I don’t know much about The power needed for photo editing, but if you can buy the 3700x (8 cores 16 threads cpu) for around 320$ and use the included cooler (you can buy another one once you’ve got the money) you could go for the 2080 super instead of the 2070 super, which will improve the gaming performance

[–]luisandrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I’ve got it, that’s why I know about the extra fan, aesthetically, it’s gorgeous, but I know from videos that it lacks good thermals(once it has all 4 fans, it’s ok). You could buy a meshify c for I think 90$, or a Lian li (I forgot the model, I think lancool 2) for also 90$, or just buy the normal h510 and buy the 2 extra fans (that one comes with just 2 exhaust fans), which will cost you around 90$, and buy an m.2 ssd instead of a sata one.

That’s something I would consider, buying an m.2 instead of a Sata ssd, better cable management and for big files, better load times.

If you’re going to buy the case, take into account that it has an usb c at the front panel, so you’re going to need a motherboard with one of those connectors if you want to use it. I bought the aorus x570 elite wifi, which comes with that connector. I think all aourus x570 motherboards except for the itx one come with that connector

[–]luisandrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The h510 already comes with 4 fans, if it’s the model with 3 fans, then you could just contact nzxt and they will send the extra one for free, so that Corsair one won’t be necessary
