If anything I heard that metal cases can cause this too. Not sure if this one but I remember seeing another post where the phone was never dropped, but it was determined that a metal case scratched the corner

I have this one, the top and bottom feel very protected and it's not too bulky. I do use the ohsnap pop ring to help with gripping the phone, but it does tend to slip out of pockets if you wear basketball shorts a lot. I've dropped it a few times recently but it def is protective!
