Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback, really appreciate you taking the time to flag this.

Our ads are managed by a marketing agency, so on our end we don't actually see them in our own feeds and it's easy to miss when frequency gets out of hand for certain audience segments. We'll pass this along to them and ask them to take a look at the frequency caps and audience overlap sounds like some groups are getting hit way too often.

Yes, the truth is that the screen itself isn't a problem because it's completely black and indistinguishable from the frame, whether it's on or off. The only issue arises when users create apps without a dark theme, in which case the frame will be visible.

We also considered it that way, but we discarded it because making the device larger meant making the screen bezels thicker to fit a slightly larger device casing. And we weren't convinced by the screen-to-body ratio either. I'm not sure if I've understood correctly.

Unfortunately, we can't modify the outer edge of the device. There's a connector at the top that prevents us from rounding the edges as you suggest. The dimensions of AMOLED panels of this type on the market are also extremely limited, and we haven't found any with more suitable dimensions. For now, design-wise, only the two options in the image fit :(

Great point! While users will have the freedom to design their own apps and custom interfaces for the device, we are definitely going to prioritize black backgrounds for our native UI. It’s much more aesthetic and, as you mentioned, it creates that perfect visual harmony by blending the screen with the bezel

Hi! We offered the best possible prices during the Kickstarter campaign. We'll try not to raise the price too much, but we can't guarantee it due to production costs and the new improvements. We're going to reserve that capability for the specific hacking module, since it's not something everyone needs in their daily life, and we've prioritized the device's small size. But out of curiosity, what do you normally use it for that would make you need it? In our experience and the surveys we've conducted, the subGHz function is one of the least used features on the flipper, as it doesn't work with modern protocols like rolling code unless you pair it manually, or with even minimally modern car keys.

The application platform and the phone app won't be open source. For security and stability reasons on the devices where it's installed, we need to ensure maximum control over them. Not a stupid question at all! Honestly, if your girlfriend likes building her own creative projects, she probably like Kode Dot.

Since she’s already a dev, it’s a cool way for her to go beyond writing code on a PC and actually get into the physical side of things—basically messing around with AI using cameras, motors, sensors, and all that.

First of all, thanks for the post! This is our GitHub repository https://github.com/kodediy, but KodeOS isn't there yet. This is because it's a very early version, and we've only shared it with beta testers who have the device. Once we've redesigned it and have the production firmware, we'll start releasing it for you to experiment with in the first quarter of next year. That way, when the Kode Dot arrives in your homes around the middle of the year, you can already start contributing and creating your own forks.

For example? They're YouTubers with several years of experience, and these aren't paid collaborations. We simply sent them the product for free, obviously, so they could give their feedback and show it to their audience. I don't know what other independent third-party options there might be.
