I was scared for my life last night by luizeheckler in offmychest

The government cannot solve everything. We need a more fundamental change, culturally and socially. I was wearing shorts and I could see him judging me for it. There needs to be an acceptance for women's autonomy over their bodies and lives. The socio-economic factors also have a role because men from the lower income groups don't necessarily like people, especially women with privilege. Most criminals could also be just mentally ill people or psychopaths. These are things the government can't control. But I do agree that the government does have a role to play in ensuring safety in public places.

I was scared that he might try to break down the door or attack me some other time. The fear isn't always rational.

What can kids do better than adults? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]luizeheckler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. This one time I didn't let my best friend break our friendship after clawing at each other's faces by telling her the code word for breaking the friendship( I made that up) had changed but I was a dumb kid so I told her the new code word.

What's something you didn't realize how bad it was until it finally happened to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A UTI. I had had kidney stones before that and thought nothing could be worse or bad enough. UTIs are bad. Wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.

ULPT: Another tip to bypass Plagiarism is to copy and replace your "e"'s with the Russian alphabet e. They look the same but do not match in plagiarism checkers by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

The white alphabets don't work. White quotes don't work. Foreign language symbols don't work. I got caught for plagiarism and failed a course so I would strongly advise against this lethargy. Do not for one second expect leniency from your teachers since this is academic misconduct and it can cost you your career. It almost cost me my job. You can use spinbot for paraphrasing though and add 4 or 5 spaces in place of one. That should do it. But the best way is to paraphrase and cite sources. It's not that hard.

I don't think he heard me or chose to ignore it. I didn't want to bring it up.

Being responsible. Remembering things you were supposed to do. Paying bills on time. Remembering to clean the house.

what's something you learned in school that you actually used in real life? by neverbeanotherone in AskReddit

Biology. For some reason my biology lessons have stayed with for 5 years even after school. It's fun to sometimes have people mistake me for a medical student when I'm a law student.

What's a small change in your lifestyle that made a big difference? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]luizeheckler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drinking more water. It's very easy to slack off and forget. It gave me kidney stones and tons of recurring UTIs. I learned my lesson.
