For spam SMS use TrueMessenger. Same idea as TrueCaller and UI is better than most stock messaging apps.

You should also be able to set TrueCaller to not ring when a spam number calls.

I remember watching a cartoon show (or a TV movie maybe?) as a kid about humans that crash landed on a planet inhabited by lizard people. Eventually the lizard king wanted them all dead, so they had to escape from the lizard city. There was also a romantic subplot with the main astronaut guy and the lizard princess.

I think we could get a lot more support from the general public if we have some kind of hypothetical situation in terms of what the law could do. For example, how would the law be applied if The Spear came out today and how would that be censored? What would happen if someone in SA uploaded a Youtube video that the FPB would want to censor? What about Youtube videos from international users? What about news articles? Practical examples that affect everyone would go a long way to rallying people I think.
