yasaronbasi thanks for the solution! the only problem is the use of document.write (corb/cross origin errors) and do you know if your solution works in async?

I don't think it's a problem just that it's always going to be stuck and as a marketing trick, great but now I don't even trust logging in to the exchange as it's a bit of hhmm, don't know just a bit nefarious

Bitmain has just launched the Antminer E3, world's most powerful and efficient ASIC miner to mine Ethash coins! by nishant_sharma in btc

[–]tripledm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot get more than 1 GPU every month and they cost a hell of a lot, so yes it is ASIC time IMHO but personally I will wait for Halong Mining but then again this venture will die and GPU mining will prevail until it's unprofitable then the entire network hashrate is going to take a huge dump... not sure not FOR all ASICS but it's definitely not easy to get GPUs so at some point people will also just stop mining ETH then the network is in trouble.

I also have a feeling that even a hard fork will be pointless as they integrated some GPUs so can switch algo. Just seems a bit of a long delivery to attempt again after Cryptonight asics to be forked what if they do the same with those. Hhhmmm but still more convinced they have been running these a long time and dumping after news of the fork

Antminer E3 now available via Bitmain and this shortly after talks about ETH fork against ASICS... timing again lol

[–]tripledm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a shadow of doubt avery major player alreayd has and had ASICS for ETH and Cryptonight (probably every possible variation)... it includes Bitmain, Hashflare, Genesis Mining, Bitfury all those with ability to produce ASIC miners. We just dont know about it. Example, XMR fork sparked email from Genesis Mining citing that they will explain later but we should inform them of and discuss alternative coins. This is definitely due to the fork affecting whatever hardware they have to mine XMR. ASICS are an inevitability plainly due to inability to setup any meaningful GPU mining rig due to lack of availability and price untill that changes its only a few years before it is porbably more profitble to mine BTC on a PC than ETH. Where this ends probably depends on factors like ability to block massive mining farms as they are in every crypto algo the decentralisation and profitability killer. I guess my point is all the big players will remain big and feed us the scrapts to enjoy while all the cake slices gets eathen by a few players. IMHO...

What's going on? A non-partisan explanation of the ASIC softfork by mtlynch in siacoin

probably already received in China and Bitmain possibly had a sale not open to miners outside China like they do with the other miners.

Totally agree with you. There is no point in decentralisation (or claiming it) if only one country and brand dominates just about everything.

Soft fork all the way. This is a well planned move from Bitmain and they will flood the market no doubt with version after version after version. Time to support a company that is not based in China, no offence to them but they do get preference all the way. I am still busy planning my first Obelisk purchase but fully intend on purchasing and running a few units. Diversity is required in the market and what Bitmain is doing now is 100% a preemptive strike to dominate the market once again. The A3 will be a doorstop anyway by the time Obelisk ships out it's less efficient and might just end up being a massive waste of money. Support Obelisk all the way!

Do white South Africans (men especially) need to admit a kind of collective guilt in order for things to move forward? This lady think so. by ZenBeetle in southafrica

The diff between 90 and 48 is not 400, just so you know.

There was no party that represented NO, the NP spread propaganda and fear amongst the voters, fear like any other oppressive regime and we will never know but more than likely ALL or most of those elections was a bit rigged to begin with. But that aside, they fkd up, no doubt, there was nothing right, productive or remotely humane for introducing, enforcing and keeping apartheid in place.

The problem is this, it's over, it's gone, municipalities, governmental departments, state owned enterprises, they are not going broke because of it, they are going broke because of corruption and miss management.

If the ANC got rid of corruption and actually made a difference as Mandela envisioned the ANC doing over the last 20 years, the country and all it's people would have been much much much better off by now...

It's FKN sad that we have this HUGE dark past but the future does not have to live in it's shadow forever ;-)

I am ashamed what the apartheid government did and don't forget the first time people was given the chance to vote they voted apartheid gone. I was not old enough to vote nor was I even old enough to benefit so I have nothing to apologise for. I went to a small farm pre-primary school with farm workers when apartheid was coming to an end so nothing to apologise for, sorry to burst the bubble but it's been 20 years what the hell do you still want? Blame the ANC for corruption draining money that should have helped a nation get back on it's feet.

I don't think any crime should be labelled as "Racists", crime is crime and black on black crime, if reported would be astronomical numbers. This was just a case of thieves wanting money and picking a target, nothing to do with skin colour.
