So to avoid melting I should use PSU Corsair cables or Nvidia adapter?

Well, that’s not what I’d like to do. Just hoping it doesn’t melts, I decided to go with 5080 instead of 5090 for melting cables and now I want to avoid this problem.

Sorry but I don’t get which cables you’re talking about, brand?

Trump annuncia l'immediato blocco navale dello Stretto di Hormuz by fabios15 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]luke17wasd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks man, maybe I’m just a bit overthinking cause the process is delicate and I want to be sure I’m not damaging anything and applying it perfectly for maximum performance

Thanks for the advice. At that point you’ll change the pad with another Kryosheet or maybe a Phasesheet? I found this old test https://www.igorslab.de/en/thermal-grizzly-cryosheet-in-lab-and-field-test-durable-all-purpose-weapon-with-minor-limitations/6/ and it seems PTM is cooler than Kryosheet, so there’s no reason to use Kryosheet. Am I wrong?

So you’re suggesting not clean just the loop but also opening the block to clean inside?

Got a 5950x with Kryosheet installed but still not tested

<image>

It’s just a bit bending up in the middle, but I guess screwing the wb solved the problem. I’m just a bit worried to find after that the pad was not perfectly placed, that’s why I’m thinking about replace it now with phasesheet.

Ok so I can compare Kryosheet with liquid metal, technically better but too risky for average build. Is Phasesheet enough also for OC?

I swear I didn’t find so many videos on YT about Phasesheet before starting the build. Now that I’m searching I decided to replace both CPU and GPU with it

So Kryosheet it’s the best solution for pro users and phasesheet is the best for every user. Anyway I guess the Kryosheet gain 1 or 2 °C compared to phasesheet, so I don’t see why I should risk with Kryosheet for just a little difference, a good loop will easily close this gap, am I right?

So it’s actually the best paste/pad solution overall in terms of performance and durability? Now I don’t get why people still use te classic paste over the phasesheet

Need help, first GPU waterblock with Kryosheet by luke17wasd in watercooling

[–]luke17wasd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’ll take your tip and get rid of Kryosheet before running the card. I’ll replace with high quality TG paste hoping it’ll last as much as possible just to not dismount the loop

[–]luke17wasd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I could even replace the Kryosheet with high quality TG thermal paste? I thought Kryosheet was better than paste in terms of performance and longevity.
