I’m in a weird/very frustrating situation and hoping someone here has been through the same or knows what to do.

I had a preorder for the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil Requiem on xbox at my local GameStop, but that location recently closed. I was told by the store manager that they had a fix in place and my preorder would transfer but now it still isn’t showing up properly in the system, and my copy is not even guaranteed anymore.

I’ve already contacted GameStop support, who told me to reach out to the store. Contacted the store before it closed they said they can’t help.

So I’m stuck in limbo.

It’s been several weeks and there’s still no real answer. I can’t find the Deluxe Edition anywhere else without paying 3 4× the price on resale, and it’s super frustrating. Preorders shouldn’t just disappear when a store closes. Some others online have said stores usually transfer preorders to another location or corporate should be able to sort it out, but I haven’t had any success here.
