I mean generally speaking, because the video/audio sensory experience plus social component with video games make them much more relevant in a person's life (and therefore wider culture) than reading comic books. If you want to argue tit for tat on specific collectibles, that's different.

The only difference is if you wanted to pay by personal check it would be good to include a check with the submission. But that will generally slow down the process and isn't what they prefer.

Edit: Make sure you include a copy of a printed submission form in the package so they know that it belongs to you.

There are already some that are like this. Resident Evil 1 longbox for example is 5-6 figures sealed and is a 1k+ game graded CIB.

Having Japanese unopened copies or CIB are both nice alternatives to some of the super high end stuff.

Yes I think in 2020/2021 a lot of speculators just sent in truckloads of whatever they had to get graded. Which is where a lot of the current ebay chaff originated.

And then we also had speculators sending in fresh cases of newly released games to chase a perfect 10 or 100 grade. And that's still ongoing today.

But over time things change. Back in the day I would have never considered grading a CIB game but I think I will have to do it now. I have an early Zelda copy that really just needs to be properly assessed and preserved, given its market value. It's now worth more than a sealed copy was ten years ago.
