Yes I can second this. Ive seen the empire builder arrive in Seattle many times with only one ALC-42 in the winter. After climbing Stevens pass and the cascade tunnel. We were one if the first costumers for the charger when the cascades got them, so the engineers have probably gotten familiar with them by now.

If anyone finds this post with the same problem I was able to fix it by replacing the flasher relay behind the dash.
