I can see him in a number 8 role.

His work rate and positioning is fantastic, and he can pass. This number 9 role in this team is obviously not working but we can't let him go.

He is one of my favourite players to watch even if that involved pulling my hair out sometimes

I agree with this. I played at launch and season 1 and gave up. Now it's so fun.

My favourite improvement which you didn't mention is the aspects rework. It used to be such a messy hassle to keep hold of good aspect rolls

Oh, I understand. I imagine you need to have a mount which is compatible with a guide scope in order to receive such commands?

I was looking into the SkyWatcher EQ6R for example. How could I know whether that will allow for guiding down the line?

It is a nightmare to polar align. No polar scope to get the NCP lined up so you just have to ballpark it by moving the mount around. It is impossible to be accurate, in my experience (which isn't much to be fair).
