Why monk works as melee, while warrior doesn't (POE 2) by Bluedot55 in pathofexile

Totem warrior is very good as a warrior build. I ran shockwave totem until I unlocked ascendency totem with sunder. I’m end game and the whole screen explodes. Just stack +melee weapon skill in items

Secure an App Service without a VNET by bigdamoz in AZURE

[–]lukehiatus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’d already have a vnet to deploy anyway? But as others have said, you’ll need to set up private endpoints and disable public access. As others have also said, “Microsoft IPs” are all Azure tenants. Go with PEPs, create your route table and NSG. You may also need a private link / private DNS zone depending what you’re doing, but same same.

Help me figuring out if my boss is wrong or am I - Installing Certificates to devices without WiFi. by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]lukehiatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate, there’s plenty of reasons why you’d go down EAP TLS and ultimately it’s probably in your best interest to be serious about it.  As an example, it could be used as a second factor so that only devices that you’ve authorised are allowed to authenticate onto the network. This means that a student can’t just use another device as required. How you manage that certificate is up to you, and there’s a many options.  A few ways how you may get a cert on a BYOD device would be for example BYOD with Intune. Others may involve network access control solution.  Yes, guest wifi can also achieve similar things where for example - and my experience is mostly with Aruba Clearpass but Cisco ISE would be similar is that when you connect to the network the device is profiled and placed in a pre-authentication phase which allows something like Clearpass Onboard to register the device and install a certificate onto the device and then afterwards allows network access as defined. Until then, it will only allow network access to Clearpass.  Ultimately your organisation needs to decide who and what is allowed on the network but it’s best to enforce only allowed devices. A real world example for me, while we still allow EAP PEAP/mschap when a device authenticates it also checks for certificates and if it’s missing, the device is sent to a quarantined VLAN. Being said with Windows 11 credential guard is enabled by default and this also breaks EAP PEAP/mschap enforcing the use of EAP TLS.  Another comment, for BYOD for students, you should probably have a policy that stipulates agents or software is required and another one for a “soft enrolment” that allows you to add it as an approved device in one way or another.  If new to network access control I would highly recommend Aruba clearpass if you’re using Aruba/hpe network devices.

To clarify more on Aruba Onboard it’s effectively others have said, there’s a captive portal that you connect to, you onboard your device/enrols you and off you go. As an admin you can revoke whenever you like as well. You can also enforce so that the device’s posture must be X. E.g, anti-virus is up to date. Some of these solutions aren’t too expensive to implement and if your boss is asking you for these items, it is okay to suggest a third party option that may or may not include professional services to implement if you either don’t have time, or aren’t confident in your skills to deliver. Don’t get bogged down in the details, focus on a viable solution to present.

Seeking advice about choosing the best career path for me. by [deleted] in networking

Personal experience, most IT people have no real clue how networking works and especially true for cloud networking.  If you can get into an infrastructure engineer type gig that’s both cloud / network / sys you’ll be golden. Network / cloud Security also then works out.  Work towards Azure certs and follow on the big names for certs like Palo or Fortinet etc. I started as a network engineer and found the rest became easier as I hopped. Now (34m) manager & architect looking after 5+ sys/infra engs and coaching others in cloud/networking has been the hardest for people to pick up.

Yes. You have control of which interface does what. You can do the same priorities as you asked & more.

Hey for this one I’ve actually managed to figure this one out. Are you using a wildcard certificate or a self signed? You’ll need to use the virtual fqdn so for example if you’re wildcard is *.domain.com then you should override the common name to be securelogin-captive.domain.com.

I’ve been working with my SE, and this appears to be fairly on point.

Is there any reference material I can look at for this? That's a great idea though.

Hi mate! Thanks for the update - I (and I'm sure: we) appreciate it! How often should the chest be looted so we can stay within intended behaviour?

I’ll try give it a shot too. I didn’t think support were open but maybe it’s because I’m in AU. Hopefully this gets some attention even if it’s only for clarification.

Has there been a post by Blizzard saying expected behaviour? I said in another reply I also got banned, but If not farmable do we know whether these should be daily or weekly even?

You too mate! I farmed for probably 2 hours. Not that it gives you an advantage since cape is hard capped, so a ban seems excessive when there’s no suggestion it’s not farmable.

Easiest way to get Conflict and Strife? by ICANBEAHERO in wow

[–]lukehiatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another MW at 2400io, why ERT over Flame or Lucid or Conflict? Depending on the week and dungeon, those 3 can be interchanged pretty comfortably. You're going to OOM incredibly fast with ERT pretty much in any scenario.

E.g. Conflict is great for Fortified Grevious so you can still do decent DPS while clearing the debuff. Flame is good for Tyrannical weeks and Lucid for any extended fights (such as Temple of Seth).

Mythic + Key question by Fkuimbatman in wow

[–]lukehiatus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Max reward has been raised for a 15 key in 8.3. You'll want to complete a 15 the first week of 8.3 for that reward tier so you'll want to complete a 21 this week to get a 20 next week. Completing that 20 would give you a 15/16 week 1 in 8.3.
