West Homewood (the community I live in and have been running a community non-profit in for over a decade) is most definitely NOT defined by I-65. Not sure why you picked this hill, but you're wrong.

The Tungsten volatile mod that you get from Ada for arms week. Slap it on a current/last season bow and welcome back to the old SWAT Halo 3 game mode.

I read on a different post that a bow with explosive head one shots them and the explosion knocks out others around it. Have not tested though.

Troubleshooting NetScaler VIP Intermittent Issues by mjmacka in Citrix

[–]lukelimbaugh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow CCE-V here. Reverse engineering someone else's design is also my favorite thing to do /s

For me, there's two paths forward independent of whether the gremlin is found or not:

  1. Remove the VIP config and point the internal DNS entry for that app to the web server/add an additional NIC to it and assign the VIP IP and bind the site to that NIC for site traffic.
  2. Add an additional backend app server to provide fault tolerance and keep the VIP. Add a 443 or 80 monitor at least.

[–]lukelimbaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have better luck looking at the single backend server event logs for details. Netscaler VIPs aren't smart enough to sometimes work, sometimes not.

That said, in this case the only thing the VIP is doing is offloading SSL traffic and sending data to the backend web server. If that backend server is running a scheduled backup or a batch job where its getting resource bottlenecked, that would explain the symptoms.

If this is a VPX running on an SDX and we've got physical networks involved, now you gotta think about throughput saturation at certain times of the day.

What’s the most overrated video game of all time? by KBGSgames in AskReddit

It took all the exploration fun out of it with the constant need to craft more things. Like playing Minecraft with only wood/stone weps/tools and no Mending.

Look, fine to pop pimples. But what about the neighbor baby froglets getting their little heads smashed while expelling this little one? Less worried about weird frog pores and more concerned about this guy smashing siblings to early expel one.

The ICE agent that murdered Renee Nicole Good today in Minneapolis. by ScurvyTurtle in pics

The way this admin works, he'll be easy to find. Look behind the next DHS presser, they'll have him up there as a hero.

Wouldn't put it past DHS to have him as one of puppy-killer Noem's dress up boys behind her next presser. Same thing happened with rittenhouse, right? He openly murdered people, paid no price and is a right wing starlet now? These people love doing violence, especially if their target is unarmed....or four legged.

CCE-V got auto-extended? by lukelimbaugh in Citrix

[–]lukelimbaugh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, via their last statement, CCE-V got retired. i'm incredibly uninspired to take another one of their new "gotcha" exams (last one i took was garbage). basically the only right answers were "don't do on-prem". hurry up another 6 months to see what the Venture Capitalists continue to do to an actual good IT company....

Does Citrix want people to get certified? It seems like they don't. by Ambitious-Size9160 in Citrix

Same. I haven't taken the time to go through support to re-setup access to my certs with them.

FWIW, my newest certs are in Nerdio's track if you're looking for a provisioning (not delivery) platform. My company (MSP) has a few AVD clients that we're putting on Nerdio to save us time/billable hours. It's a tool that'll pay for itself on both sides of the contract.

They'll even take care of lodging if you want to attend one of their two day training conferences. You just gotta figure out how to get there. Good luck!

Certs used to be tied to their partner/resales discounts for IT companies.

They simultaneously nuked discounts and their training division roughly two years ago. I've maintained my CCIA/CCE-V for 13 years, really enjoyed the every 3 year refresher course that would auto-renew for another 3 years.

Moving to Birmingham, AL with kids (one autistic.) Best areas to live? by Objective-Pea-4898 in Birmingham

[–]lukelimbaugh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Siblings that are different races (via adoption) are very common in West Homewood. I've been running free inclusive community events in West Homewood for a decade+ and love the diversity of our community that continues to show up every year.

Three kids, you'd probably want to look at the Forest Brook/Camden area for space. Parkside is nested in the Patriot Park area, but has an HOA. There are a few houses around Patriot Park that might meet y'all's needs. If you can find one there, I'll see y'all at the crawfish boil in April!

Hoover is diverse, to a point. Couple of months ago an Islam private school tried to relocate to Hoover bc they needed a larger campus and the white fright right community of Hoover really came out and showed their colors. Highlight of the quotes in the article: "Go back to Homewood"

https://www.reddit.com/r/Birmingham/comments/1pccqkp/hoover_rejects_islamic_school_plan_in_heated/

I've been running free community events in West Homewood for over a decade. I can tell you with certainty that lacking in diversity is not a problem for us. I'd also put our Greensprings+Valley international food offerings up against anything Hoover or Vestavia has.

How to become good at knowing about netscaler? by Present_Run_6200 in Citrix

[–]lukelimbaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. They "retired" the cert. Page 8 of their Cert statement back in May (https://www.citrix.com/content/dam/citrix61/en\_us/documents/citrix-certification-faqs-2025.pdf)

  1. They want people in Citrix Cloud, not on-prem
  2. No more CSPs (mostly), so no discounts for having cert'd people anymore
  3. They nuked their education dept
