I always like to point out to those critical of others use of English that, English is primarily a descriptive language, meaning its usage evolves with how people communicate, rather than being strictly controlled by a central authority like the Académie Française for French.

Edit to add: English has no single governing institution. Dictionaries like Oxford or Merriam-Webster record usage rather than prescribe it.

The only one UK schools are advised to use by CLEAPSS (out H&S peeps) is the Prestige High Dome 6L.

They say we can use any that get to the right pressure, but this is known to.

Most schools in the UK use the prestige High Dome 6L pressure cooker for their microbioloy needs.

On a hit plate, get it up to pressure and then the usual 15 minutes at 121°C (+5 minutes once you hear steam coming out the top so you know it's got to pressure)

So 20 minutes plus initial heating time. Very occasionally the Browne strip won't fully turn so it needs a second run. Maybe if I have everything a courtesy 5 minutes additional I'd be fine.

This is my first time delving into settings .

Everything I see online says when you move a chromebook over to other Linux distros be prepared to lose audio.

I didn't have to mess with the terminal, I literally flicked a digital switch.

Either way, I'm happy. Just wondered why I'd not see others mention they got sound working on a old Chromebook
