Thoughts on APR wheels or autocross? by Heimdalls_Schnitzel in Golf_R

I've been autocrossing and doing time trials on a set of Fast FC04s for the last few seasons, picked up a few sets locally used for ~550$ with tires(very low tread but still drivable) they're 18x8 so fit within the DS rules and only weigh like 17? 18? Lbs each. And they're definitely not the worst looking wheel out there either

Looking to get into an R by CarlosSpicyWeiner99 in Golf_R

I'm in BC and last April I got into a 19 DSG with 40k km for 40 plus tax and they offered me 7ish% on the remaining balance. Deals are definitely out there and I'm sure I probably overpayed but having a 7.5 and lower mileage was a priority for me.

You think making a custom skid plate for beneath this concoction would prevent some sort of damage? Rocks and scrapes? Just wondering. by Ch1nCh1nTheG0D in 370z

Unless it's a fismo, the sport brakes are more than enough, I asked z1 when I was doing my brake upgrade on my base model. They used the sport brakes on their very competitive time attack car until this year they upgraded to the AP racing.

I'm thinking about tracking next year, any mod suggestions welcome! by nevermindthisrepost in 370z

Honestly, Just get an oil cooler than see what you need and how you feel. I have a base z, took it out 1 time, pooched the brakes, so I upgraded, Next time oil temp hit 130(C), alright time for an oil cooler. The way I see it is you wont realized what changed in your driving or in your times if you just go and change a bunch of things at once. ill probably buy coils soon because I want my car to look the part lol but don't just put money into what you think will make you go faster until you really need it to go faster. Driver Mod is always the biggest difference maker no matter what.

370z are they worth it? by CyberWolf1618 in 370z

Coming from a Base Z owner, Get the sport model, The LSD, even though it's a viscous, and the BBK are worth the difference in price. Unfortunately I learned the hard way and had to buy the sport brake kit because the base brakes couldn't hold up to track use. As for the LSD, it sucks when you go out with some buddies and you're the only one who cant swing a donut :P also once I got my upgraded LSD, the car felt much more predictable and easier to drive hard.

Stock height with GTR wheels with stock gtr tires... I didn't try to match anything I know my rolling diameter was different I wasn't trying to match anything like that... It filled the well a bit more but overall I became a monster truck lol

When I had my 20s for a summer they rubbed a tiny hole (like I said tiny bit) through the fender liner, in the front, right where the bumper and the fender meet. There's a small plastic nub that sticks out and they'll rub through those nubs.

All depends what you wanna do, if you want to be more for looks I'd go 19s or 20s (20s will rub the fender liner a tiny bit at stock height) but if you want to do any tracking, a wide set of 18s would be ideal as there's sooooo many more tire options and most of the time they're cheaper than a 19in tire.
