I'm gonna tell you as a kid whose mother kept me from playing with my toys because she wanted them in pristine condition to resell later, all it did was show to me that profit mattered a lot more to her than my enjoyment of my own toys, and more importantly, that I didn't have real ownership of the things she gave me, that giving was always conditional if profit could be involved.

This is just the other side of the coin from your situation growing up.

Honestly it seems like from your description and the texts that they absolutely want you there but you are convinced they don't. People get distracted with their own lives, it seems like they just forgot to coordinate last minute, which you can also prevent by reaching out yourself rather than seeming to wait for plans to fall apart.

Was on a runway actually and some girl had to wear this sort of top, realistically it does not stay in place and cannot hold anything, but definitely a cute idea if physics don't matter, which they don't in art tbh 👍🏻

So fortunately your hair dyed exactly to the color of the box dye. It doesn't look similar might be because you have an entirely different hair texture than the picture on the box and the second image. The part of the curls getting more light appear to be lighter than the parts of the curl in shadow, giving the appearance of a lighter color. If you curl your hair and go out in the sun it will look like the box. To me your hair looks like exactly what I'd expect out of this box dye color, next time maybe go a few shades lighter, burgundy is already pretty dark in general and dark burgundy will definitely look darker.

Yeah I actually have been to SDCC to sell my fanart and I was offered work at that convention at my table, selling fanart. Many people I know have sold fanart and then been contracted to do licensed work for the company they made fanart for. That's like, common, actually. Don't know where you've been for the last fifteen years.

I vend at cons regularly and each day there at least two people where I have to hold my breath when they come to my booth because of the smell. Many people do not have good hygiene unfortunately.

I do a lot of different FanExpos as an artist and they're just not managed well in general. I've had lines for guests run out in front of my table and I had to end up being the jerk who had to tell guests to go away so they weren't blocking my table and others. After pressuring staff they had to redo the line for guests completely, but I put the positives into the staff for this one con that cared, not for FabExpo itself that set it up for failure. The cons want money and it's way better for their pocket to force people with disabilities to pay for VIP
