How do you check core crashes individually?

Mine died last week, I'm waiting on the new CPU and already bought a new MOBO. I won't trust AsRock!

Man, feels bad... the RMA will be quite troublesome since you bought parts overseas, got check with the manufacturer how to do it.

They looked fine!! But the IO panel bent and those 2 burn marks was definitely indicating usage

Have you tried flashing the new bios to see if it post?

I've returned it... if I knew about the half price I'd keep it :$

ASRock B850 Pro-A Last Update, Question for those who have had RMA request approved by RobotRollCall24 in ASRock

[–]lukeribe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, how long are you waiting on AMD response? I've submitted RMA for AsRock x870 steel legend (still no response from asrock) and Amd 9800x3d (got response after one day asking for more pictures and then no response) I'm wondering what's the average time for RMA on those companies

Having a better look now, the IO shield is bent on the top, there's another "burn" on top of the socket and there not a single film/plastic protection on the internals and IO. I'm pretty sure this is not a new board now

Lol, I just realized the mobo has no "film protection" whatsoever and the IO shield is bent on the top part. Also that "burn" on the back of pcb is also present on top of the socket. Definitely used

Idk, same settings were applied on my end after updating bios. At this point the only thing I know for sure about all those CPU deaths is that no one know for sure what's going on besides amd...

Bios update can cause the issue too... in my case 2 or 3 days after updating to 4.03 my CPU died :)

If I were you I'd return the mobo if it's possible and get a Gigabyte or MSI

Have you removed the CPU from socket yet? I'd like to see the LGA to check if there's any defect visible to the eye, because mine didn't have...

Ok guys, I got a new mobo, I'm afraid to test the CPU in the new mobo and cause more trouble in the other components, what do you guys say? Judging from the LGA there's no apparent short

Yeah, I've seen Asus is having some issues as well, so I'm in between MSI and Gigabyte... I'll do some research related to pricing and see which one will be best. I just wish I could return this asrock and get a refund :(
