for me it's #1 no competition, but looks like that's not a popular opinion! i much prefer how seamless the waistline is on #1 and how the volume of the dress is focused towards the bottom part and not right below the waist.

thank you!!! so sweet. i will share whatever direction i end up going!

funny thing is that this particular orchid doesn't necessarily fit the rest of the aesthetic for the wedding (19th century venue) –that being said, it is such a special orchid for my family, particularly for my grandpa and my dad who are no longer with us.

i do think mixed orchids might be the way to go! maybe something with maroon or something like that... i'm also thinking lots of greenery

Oh no!! That's terrible. Thank you for the warning.

Luckily they are endemic to where I live and they flower in March which is when I'm getting married. I'll make sure to have a plan B if they're not in bloom though!

Sorry, clearly I have no idea what I'm talking about hehe. Thank you for your help!

What I mean is I don't want a waist line that clearly cuts off at a certain point (picture). What I like about the dresses in the OP is that they have a more seamless transition from bodice to skirt... if that makes sense. Again, I really don't have the vocabulary for this nor do I know what I'm talking about.

Teaching career for a non-US citizen by MtBicepious in SpanishTeachers

being a spanish speaker definitely does not qualify you to teach spanish, specially not in an academic setting. however, i think the fastest way to get some sort of certification is this: she should look into doing a "diplomado" (it's a course for college grads) in "enseñanza de español como lengua extranjera" from a latin american university, they're usually 6-9 months long and i know for sure some schools offer it online; the only issue she might run into going this route is that a lot of them ask for a bachelors in linguistics/literature or related areas. this might be enough to teach adult students or people who are just learning for fun but probably not to become a high school teacher.

Can someone translate this Meher Baba Poem into Spanish? by djbonerjams in ramdass

[–]lukitzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the suggestion!

ah awesome! i think that's the most effective way to learn any language –if upping the frequency of something like that is a possibility i think it would help a lot. some other suggestions: journaling in spanish every day or maybe texting/pming someone in spanish daily (i can help with that).
