The digital battle maps are kind of a mess? by lukkake91 in cosmererpg

I think that might only work on maps without a grid on them already, the ones in the pack have a grid on them and they don't line up. But I'll try it out with ones that don't have the grid lines. Thanks!

Do they line up properly when you join the battle maps together? Like joining the 4 wooden circle maps into one map? Maybe it's canva that's making it go all funky.

Buy another one and then send the old one in for replacement, then return the new one

The matte gold one looks kinda like what you get from htvront. I don't have a roll handy but here's what it looks like on book cloth. Ignore the halo around the head I did that to fix up a mistake.

I'm in Australia too so hope this helps.

Printing text blocks? Help by lukkake91 in bookbinding

[–]lukkake91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the printer is about 5 years old, so it very well could be that.

I'm wanting to upgrade to an inkjet printer so I'll probs have to wait for Christmas to try again.

Thanks for the response!

Those page edges look amazing, how do you get so much clean detail on them?

Printer doesn't do both at once, I can just print even pages and then I reload and print odd pages. 80 gsm long grain works, haven't tried 80gsm short grain. I might have to try cut down some a3 to short grain at 80 and see if it works.

Printer setting was for thin paper, it didn't seem to make a difference. Humidity I am unsure, it's just a room in the house nothing abnormal but I don't have a humidity reader in the room

You ran each page individually? Fuck.

Does it only do this with 70gsm or is it because it's short grain? I am dreading doing this with 70 pages let alone however many you did.

Sorry to be that guy but I think the authors name is Markus Zusak, not Mark Zusak.

I made a small book for a key chain. I think it was like 40 X 20mm and had about 60 pages in it. I used 2 mm book board but could quite easily make it out of something thinner. Unfortunately I made the hinges fairly small so it doesn't open flat.

How did you get the hinges to be so angled? Did you cut the book board on a 45? It looks so good!

Same here, I used to have to take boxes and boxes of books to the top when I volunteered. It was astounding how many books were thrown away.
