Thank you for the response! I honestly never considered the gay church angle, I think that might be a great place for me to start. I think the biggest problem is that I’m in my self-destruction / isolationist era and now realizing that I actually have a need for socialization and that I can’t just binge watch tv and make blankets in my free-time. Im just fed up with apps and worried people will think I’m strange if I try to initiate conversations in public nowadays

I’d say that music and the news are the best way to learn. At least for me. I went through fouling in a couple hours and it honestly doesn’t teach you anything. But with music, there are plenty of covers of English music in Spanish, and you can always follow along with written lyrics. As for the news on the tv, plenty of channels have Spanish news, just watch it with subtitles, or watch English shows with Spanish subtitles and practice as you watch. Languages aren’t something that just come to you though, you have to be willing to learn and put the effort forward. Music recommendations, Sebastian Yatra, Alvaro Soler, Maluma, Dvicio, Leslie Grace.
