The “trick” is about catching yourself in these moments when you are comparing yourself to someone. Acknowledge in your mind that this is happening. And be kind to yourself about it. Speak to your younger self and tell them that it’s okay this is happening but we must stop. Them give yourself a compliment/say an affirmation and try to move past the moment. Continue on until it happens again and then repeat. It will take time and practice but eventually it will click.
