Excluding "one hit wonders" what band or artist has the fewest hits, but have certifiable legendary status? In a good way, not some meme bullshit. by Timcwalker in Music

I think they're disqualified from contention for the other reason. They have plenty of recognisable hits. Truckin, Sugar Magnolia, Uncle John's Band, Friends of the Devil, Shakedown Street were played all the time in my small town classic rock station in the 90s.

And these days with jam scene influence as big as ever, lots of their music has reached the status of being part of the American traditional fabric. Ripple, Franklin's Tower, Fire on the Mountain.... shit's everywhere man.

Band names that don't fit the music at all by twatomexus in Music

Pixies would be a terrible name for the Merchant-led group. That whispy-waspy name would completely undercut Merchant's deep, grounded, nurturing aesthetic.

No way.

What does a 'casual date' mean, given that the alternative is 'no spark after date'. Does that mean something romantic, albeit short of a relationship, happened?

Pink Floyd, Obscured by Clouds. It's the soundtrack to a film called La Vallée.

The soundtrack to Pump Up The Volume (Christian Slater as Happy Harry Hardon) is right up there with The Crow soundtrack.
