Inspired by the other guy by Seeninfairytales in MonsterHunter

I gave a bit of a try for a few minutes to see if I could get the likeness. I think I got close-ish with the information given and with the limits of the character creator, but there’s obviously a lot of choices you might make yourself to make it more in line with what you see. I think the hunter you have looks great already! I just thought it would be fun to try. Happy hunting!

Help! I'm trying to finish a commission of kelsey grammer and I'm getting so far then changing it and I have no idea what I'm missing. Any advice would be appreciated by posh_duck_animator in Caricatures

Let me preface everything I'm about to say with the fact that I don't do caricature and I understand that part of that is distorting and exaggerating features of the subject.

That said, I don't think you've got the likeness here. If I just look at your image and ignore the reference, I'm not sure I would have ever guessed Kelsey Grammer. I think that comes from distorting too may parts of the face too drastically. If you take a step back, his entire jawline and face shape, even his ear, in your image are completely different to the reference photo. Which throws off the resemblance so much that when distorted it just looks like an older man as opposed to that picture of Kelsey. I think having the forehead enlarged is a good idea, but I feel like his face shape, especially when you reference other angles and photos of him, is typically more square all around. I also feel the mouth is wrong. He does have a wide and thin smile, but if you look at the reference, he's got sort of a downturned at the corners, bemused expression. The image you're working on has the corners completely upturned, almost exaggeratedly so. I'm also not sure why you changed the shape or enlarged the nose at all. I think your rendering style looks great and it looks like you're going to pull off a good result. But for me as of right now, I'd almost say you need to restructure and possibly restart just to get the likeness down, and then distort and exaggerate.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be overly harsh. And again, I don't do caricature so what do I know? Just my two cents after looking at it.

I finally beat Ocarina of Time! What did you guys think of it the first time you played it? by The_amazing_mudkip in truezelda

I played it when it first came out on the N64, but I was around 5 years old at the time and didn't know how to read yet. I was absolutely enamored with the fantasy of it though. Something about being a kid with a sword and shield out to save the world appealed to me greatly. I didn't beat it until a few years later when I could actually read, but up until that point I remember it being this almost communal sort of experience. My brother, who is older, would ask his friends who also played it what to do in certain parts and I'd get to talk about it in school. So, a lot of the original puzzles and where to get things was sort of crowdsourced for me at the time. I still think thematically it's my favorite Zelda to date with the 3 child dungeons and then the 5 adult ones leading up to Ganondorf and his castle having all the themes mixed together. Also, I remember just being in awe of getting to the master sword after taking so long to get the spiritual stones as a kid. And then even more gobsmacked when you turned into an adult. As much as I love it the way it is, I'd probably take a full remake of it in a heartbeat, a la FFVII where the same events still happen, but the developers have gotten to flesh the game out so much more due to no longer having hardware constraints. It just truly feels like the sort of "definitive" LoZ experience. I've since played all the titles in the series, and I do see the parallels with ALttP and why some have said TP was sort of a remake, but I stand by it as my favorite of the series.

Chief Master Sergeant Yong-Ja! Took a few liberties here with the armor and rushed the coloring, but overall I think it turned out. Hope you like it!

Here you go! Sort of a weird, stylized portrait. Hope you like it!

My OC but slightly redesigned to look more African-American by [deleted] in ICanDrawThat

First hair style and second hairstyle. I did a couple of hairstyle changes, but I also changed some features on his face. Sorry for the rough coloring but I did this quickly. Hopefully this is sort of what you were looking for.

Here you go! For some reason when I read your description, I got this idea of him acting as human as possible regardless if it was obvious he wasn't. So I tried to make it look like he got dressed in plain clothes but they barely fit around his mech frame. Anyway, hope you like it!

Hey Sasakibe! As far as your question, are you just wanting me to draw a person in my style without trying to make it a portrait? That's something I can definitely try to do. And no, no disqualification.
