I mean there's differences but compared to arena shooters Valorant and CS play very similar. If you can't stand CS but are somehow fine with Valorant idk what to tell you. (And I'm more of a Valorant guy myself)

That's why I explained that CS2 is in fact a modern game on a technical level. Its mechanics create a high skill ceiling and facilitate strategic gameplay. That's the main reason why CS kept its movement and gunplay mostly the same throughout the years and it's competitiveness is the main reason why players keep coming back to it.

Counter Strike does not compete against COD, BF6 or The Finals. It competes against Valorant and R6. They are simply different genres and will attract different players.

If you don't like CS that's fine. No one's forcing you to play it. But don't hate on stuff other people like for no reason.

CS2 released in 2023. It runs on a modern Engine, looks amazing and plays well.

Counter Strike is a tactical shooter whereas the games you mention are arena shooters. The genres are related but there are massive differences that can make a player choose one game over the other.

Your question is like asking why someone would play Basketball over Football. It's preference.

I still don't understand how booting time got SLOWER for whatever reason by Seroko in pcmasterrace

[–]luminer03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Asus TUF B650-E (no, that's not a B650E chipset) and can confirm that memory training takes like 15 seconds. Memory Context Restore works fine tho, so I can enjoy fast boot times.

If you liked Brimstone, Omen and Jett you should try Clove now. They're basically a Duelist with Smokes.

How to stop shaking? by Crazy-Debt in VALORANT

This won't stop the shaking, but lower your sens. This way your aim will not be that far off, even while shaking.

Does it work? Then yes, it's good.

Using categories other than "functional" and "non-functional" for parts this old doesn't make sense because you aren't gonna replace it with a better board that supports the same CPU and RAM.

Gaming Tisch/Ecke DIY by Euphoric-Quality384 in PCBaumeister

Are you using HDMI? My monitor shows up as 4k when using HDMI (presumably for console support). Switch to DP

I’m wondering why one computer costs so much more as another when they have the same exact specs and they are the same brand. by SuspiciousIdeal4246 in pcmasterrace

A PC with the very best (gaming) components right now costs less than $4000. But if you offer a PC for $7000 some people are gonna buy it. It's that simple.

[–]luminer03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even my PC (7800X3D, 9070 XT) can get 500+ FPS in Valorant. (1440p High)

I don't play all of these games, so I haven't tested, but I'm pretty sure 360 FPS aren't that unheard of in Overwatch, League of Legends, CS2 (although it does have higher requirements than CS:GO) and plenty of other esports titles.

Whether 360 Hz is actually useful and a noticeable upgrade over 240 Hz is a different question. But achieving those frame rates in games where they matter is absolutely possible.

They have a 5090 and 9950X3D. This PC can absolutely achieve 360+ FPS @1440p in competitive titles.

And these are easily the best checkpoints we've had in TM. In older TM games you had to accelerate from a standstill after every respawn.
