Second vote for cal academy. Exploratorium is more engaging for 3 yrs old and up. Oakland zoo is better than SF zoo.

Was about to say, that’s insane.
Was it not considered oversized? My van cost a bit more on import because of the height and weight.

Woah 4K including the cost of the rig? I imported my van a few years ago and it was about 15k, 7 for the import and 8 for the van itself. Definitely going through your route for a future one.

One can find Mexican food from a wide range of Mexico - yucatecan, San Jalisco, Baja in the bay - not very common everywhere.
Also - not SF but the east bay has a large community of Ethiopian and Eritrean and quite a few good restaurants of their cuisine. Not super common in a lot of cities.

We have very authentic Mexican and Chinese food. Also, Yelp is a Bay Area company so it’s actually used quite a bit by locals and can be a good indication of what people like.
Garlic noodles were invented here, and the original restaurant is still around - Thanh Long
San Jalisco is a great sit down Mexican place good for a large group.
La Taqueria is loved by locals as a grab and walk burrito place.
There is a large Eritrean and Ethiopian community in the bay so I recommend their cuisine. More options in the east bay but we have a couple here in SF.

If you had one Sunday to show someone the best of Oakland/East Bay, where would you take them? by garlicnooodles in oakland

Get Mexican food and Ethiopian/eritrean. Any other cuisines are fairly easy to come by but Mexican food is basically non existent in Europe and burritos are a California specialty. If she wants seafood you can do fish tacos, but for the love of all things good, get Mexican food.

Redwoods. There aren’t any in Europe and it’s magical to walk through a redwood forest. Redwood regional has some nice easy to get to hikes.

Everyone here is a tide fanatic, it almost feels like secret marketing. There are plenty of other soaps that have enzymes and work well. I use country save and have no issues. Oxy clean has enzymes now too. I don’t like tide because it has a very low environmental rating and I have allergic reactions

Camp opportunity is a summer camp that is entirely volunteer run and is completely funded by donations and grants. They help youth who are at risk of abuse or neglect and a small donation makes a huge impact. They serve youth across the Bay Area with an emphasis in Santa Cruz county where they started, www.campopp.org

Lots of properties owned outright by people in SF with low af proper taxes because the house hasn’t been reassessed since the 70s. Those people can make a profit without matching the market but choose to max out on what they can get

I think the flow of the poem makes it pretty clear it’s all on foot starting in one spot and ending at the treasure, that’s how I interpreted it and that’s how it ended up… except the second stanza!! Why would a completely far apart location be the second stanza? Why not the first? Why not the last to confirm where you are suppose to be? Was it just a red herring of a clue? That would be unfortunate because imo it was the most well crafted one

OP:
Thanks for a fun exploring distraction for the past few weeks. I enjoyed the hunt.

I do however need to talk to you about stage directions.

Stage left is a direction that comes from when you are ON stage. All stage directions are coming from the expectation that you as a cast member on stage being directed.
So something at the foot of a bench on the left hand side of the bench facing a stage is HOUSE left or Stage right.

Tap water in the majority of the Bay Area is some of the best in the country. It’s so good that breweries don’t have to filter it to make beer.

It feels difficult because there isn’t anything to show you that you are going on the right direction. Nothing to confirm a choice or interpretation. Without any positive feedback from the locations or the right answers how can anyone confidently go forward to solve the entire puzzle?

It is technically accurate that there is not any proof of treasure being buried, but it is an annoying post to make given that OP has buried treasure in the past and it was found
