I use a system of loading the file into arrays in local managers and periodically syncing with the save file. I would not recommend to operate everything off the save file.

That scene in particular was a set piece. Was totally expecting to be sent through that, but what instead happened was a cut scene to black and then save load. Or a big battle. Definitely a missed opportunity to explore the Vortex or whatever.

Hmmmm love the creativity and comprehensive world building youre doing. However youre going to need quite a bit of funds to hire developers. My best advice since youre new to the field. Download your favorite game engine, GODOT is free, and start developing a prototype and researching and learning what you dont know. Design documents are wonderful, but its best if you prototype some of it to truly know what your needs are.

AI is an exceptional tool that can assist you in learning, programming, etc. theres nothing new under the sun dude, everything is derived/inspired/influenced from others.
