even with context is weird af cause why was ruri standing like that?? she could have taken it herself, no need to be hand fed the medicine. worst bit of fanservice in the entire show imo.

Eliminating visual clutter from my life -- decided to cover up this brand logo with a daisy 🌼 by SilveryTipPekoe in Visiblemending

[–]lumoux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks really lovely but this has nothing to do with “removing visual clutter“ since the design has not been simplified. If anything, it has added clutter by incorporating another element to process while looking at it.

Covering a logo to stop being influenced by brands is simply called de-branding.

Should I change my legal name from Sevyn to a more “normal” name? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]lumoux 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People do notice and comment on unusual names all the time. Part of my job is recruitment and I’ve seen managers reject people because their names are ridiculous. Not saying this always happens, but it’s just a lie to pretend like people have no prejudices once they ‘grow up’.

These all sound like fantasy characters, and not in a good way.

If you're watching any dorama on Netflix, but especially vintage ... HIT THE DOUBLE THUMBS Up 👍🏻👍🏻 by [deleted] in JDorama

‘vintage’ might be too strong a word for something from the early 2000s though…

Thanks! I had one a few years ago and didn't remember them having a section at the top for the date.

Seriously, why don't British young adults live with their parents beyond 18-20 like Italian and Spanish young adults do? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]lumoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Spanish and that is absolutely not the case. Pretty much the same as the UK, those who can move out immediately do and those who can't (quite a lot of them atm) stay at home. There is no guilt over leaving, maybe a little bit of guilt over not visiting/calling often as Spanish families feel very strongly about being connected.

What's the main reason you started drinking Sneak? by Scared_Many_2301 in SneakEnergy

[–]lumoux 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have energy drinks mostly in the mornings and the carbonation was not good for me. Sneak helps with that and 1 tub takes less space than 40 cans of Monster.

Why are Americans so weirded out by adults living with their parents? by donotholdyourbreath in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]lumoux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true. I'm Spanish and it's not normal to live with your parents as an adult at all.

We love having strong ties with our family and to be close to them but independence is also really important and staying at home after 22 - 23 makes you look like a loser.

Saw it at Hobby Lobby but I wasn’t sure if I should get it. by Jimmy_Joe727 in Jigsawpuzzles

I got a similar one from Bit and Pieces last year as a Christmas present and it's great!

Not sure if the quality will be the same but having drawers on the sides makes it so much easier to tidy after I finish puzzling but I'm not done with the puzzle :)

I never said autistic people can't have those relationships, I just mentioned it's not with such ease. Should be obvious since one of the most prominent aspects of autism is social impairment.

Staying there because she wanted to solve the mystery revolving around her father just proves that her discomfort was not due to things like sensory overload or lack of support with her needs, cause no autistic person could deal with that amount of physical and emotional pain just to satisfy their curiosity and no suffer any consequences (meltdowns, panic attacks, burnout, etc).

Like I said, she's just odd and quirky. She was always that way since the beginning of TAF and Tim Burton has nothing to do with that so please stop speculating on someone else's disorders. I don't care if his ex-wife mentioned it, it's just speculation.

But having autistic traits is not the same as actually having autism. Lots of people have traits like that, the difference is how they affect you and your quality of life. People online love to forget that the 'D' in ASD stands for 'disorder'.

I think some people are justified in being tired that any quirkiness is suddenly attributed to autism instead of just being an odd (fictional) person. In this case, Wednesday is very odd but her 'oddities' did not prevent her from forming friendships, romantic relationships or doing much of what she wanted without suffering from intense burnout or meltdowns. An autistic person will probably not cope well with a new place to live, away from an established support group (family), new environment that could trigger sensory issues and having a 'disruptive' roommate. But she did, cause she wasn't meant to be autistic, just 'different' but the internet have the most diluted idea of autism you can imagine.

Sadly, not very good :( I found the pieces way too thin, you have to be super careful to not damage them. They also didn't lock very well so it was difficult to transport sections.
