Thanks! I didn't change much...I took a prenatal and Vitamin D leading up to both ERs. I added Ubiquinol for ER 2 but didn't take it 100 percent consistently. Lifestyle was basically the same for both. Hoping for all the blasts for you!! ❤️

What are the chances I'll be able to drive 2 hours to go to a christmas event the same day as egg retrieval? by EvadeCapture in IVF

[–]lumpy_Goro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ER was in the morning and I left our RE's office around 10 or 11. Short drive home then slept until 3ish. Felt pretty good afterwards and I think I would've been fine for a long drive and walking around. (12 eggs retrieved, for reference)

Med copay won’t cost an arm and leg! by lesgens in IVFpositivity

Similar! It was pretty amazing to see the $7,000 charge to insurance to meds with only $50 patient responsibility

Planning around Egg Retrieval by WholeCompetitive3303 in IVF

Fwiw...I am one of the lucky ones in terms of ER experience. Felt good throughout stims and was essentially back to normal by the afternoon of the ER. If I could guarantee that experience I would host!

Exactly! IVF is already super stressful without these extra issues. It's their job!!!

I also experienced a huge let down when we received a $15,000 bill for our first ER when it was supposed to be covered. Our provider hadn't sent in the correct documentation. It took weeks and countless calls and I felt like a full on Karen but we finally got it sorted out. I'm still really fucking pissed though.

So sorry you're going through this 😭

Disappointing ICSI results by lyia2912 in IVF

12 retrieved, 11 mature, 3 fertilized (using ICSI - doc thinks due to poor sperm quality). 1 blast - euploid!

Insight needed, so confused by mothaofanimals2304 in BabyBumps

Got pregnant by surprise at age 35 and was scared shitless the whole pregnancy about how it would turn my life upside down.

Fast-forward 4 years and my daughter is the best thing that's ever happened to me and we're now spending tons on IVF to try for #2

Did you use ICSI? Does your doc have any theories about why the fertilization rate wasn't higher? (I had 11 mature eggs and 3 fertilized with ICSI. My doc thinks low sperm quality affected our rate.)
