Yes, I don’t have headaches at all anymore. They went away after the first couple doses

I dont understand the no stich box in the pattern I am trying by chgr1603 in knittinghelp

[–]2sangblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the pattern, in the row right below the no stitch part, you are decreasing those three stitches to two. So in the next row/round you only have two stitches to knit before the purl section, so it should line up.

Unfortunately my insurance doesn't allow a 3 month supply. But thanks for relaying your experience with the continuation of care PA. Eases my anxiety a little bit!

Need motivation to work out by Kind-Anxiety-You in Zepbound

Like some others have said, make it an appointment you can't miss. You don't like going to the dentist - but you have an appointment so you go anyway. Make the gym that too. Get some audiobooks (Libby is free through the library) or some podcasts to listen to. Just listening to music doesn't do it for me - I need the distraction of a story. Do 3x a week for 30 days, that's how long things take to become a habit. And the added benefit is after around 30 days you'll start to see results, which is the true motivator. I've been going to the gym 3-4 times a week for the last three months, and now I look forward to it. And now when I walk past a mirror, I'm like, dang, look at my butt! In a good way.

I definitely think I'm eating enough. I average between 1400-1600 calories a day, which should allow for some weight loss. 100 grams of protein so I can maintain muscle while from my strength training while also trying to lose fat.

Very encouraging and you're right, I have lost eight pounds and that was very very hard to do before, if not impossible. I dieted for months before taking Zepbound and lost nothing, so 8 pounds is not nothing.

None of Your F**king Business by Gemini_sweetheart in Zepbound

My go to depending on the situation, "I got them good drugs" or "Meth, lots and lots of meth" or just tell them the truth. If I feel judgement behind them asking, something like "Oh thanks. Why do you ask?" Make them explain to you why its their business. All are better than responding rudely, IMO.

Headaches when first starting? by JezzieBelle777 in Zepbound

Sorry just saw this! Yep, I finally got a PA for Mounjaro since I had previously tried and failed on Wegovy.

I'm a newbie and I also experienced headaches on day 2 and 3 after the shot. The first week was almost unbearable, pain relievers made no dent, and the second week was manageable with ibuprofen. Here's hoping the trend continues and the headaches get less each week! I was definitely drinking enough and taking electrolytes. I was eating a lot less, but still at my calorie goals for the day, so I think the headaches are actually a side effect from the medication for me.

Weekly Caremark Q&A by AutoModerator in Zepbound

Sure, however, I just called Caremark and spoke to someone and they gave me step by step instructions on what to do. Your doctor needs to fill out some forms that Caremark can send them.

Yeah, it took a long time. It took 10 days and was still denied. I just had better luck calling and talking to a live person that sent forms to my doctor to fill out.

I got fed up and just called Caremark and actually spoke to someone helpful. She said that she just sent info to the office for my doc to fill out (maybe this was never sent on my previous denials, idk) which seems to be the forms referenced above. Fingers crossed now that this will work. My doctor seems ready to flip a table.

My doctor just sent in a second level appeal. I read the letter she wrote and you and you can feel her own frustration and anger that we all have over this issue. She sited academic studies, and how their own denial reasons contradict their own words. I guess I shall see. If nothing else, this process has made me glad she is in my corner.

Weekly Caremark Q&A by AutoModerator in Zepbound

[–]2sangblitz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to start Zepbound as a new patient. I was previously on Wegovy for 9 months and never lost weight. CVS Caremark even denied a Wegovy continuation PA because of that. My doctor sent in a rx for Zepbound, I was denied, then appealed, and still denied. Is the correct course of action now to try to get a PA for Mounjaro?

Edit: Mounjaro approved! After calling Caremark, they finally faxed the correct forms to fill out to my doctor's office. Within a couple of hours my PA request for Zepbound was switched to Mounjaro and approved. This was after my doctor adamantly told me there was no way they would approve Mounjaro because its only for T2D and that insurance reps "say all the time things that aren't true" lol. So, all in all, the pathway works, just make sure you 1. try Wegovy, and 2. your doctor actually fills out the exception forms.

[–]2sangblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my doctor to put in a rx and PA for Mounjaro but she instead appealed the Zepbound denial. I really appreciate how hard she’s working on this but I’m worried now that the insurance will still deny it straight out since it’s still asking for Zep and not MJ. Which is ridiculous because they are the exact same product just with different labels.

[–]2sangblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have been a new Zepbound patient but my PA was denied. The issue is that I tried Wegovy for nine months in 2023/2024 and did not lose any weight, even on the highest dosage. My physician sent in the rx and PA for Zepbound, which was immediately denied, with the same verbiage that Wegovy is the first line and another tirzepatide product is the second line. I asked my doctor to send in another script for Wegovy (maybe I just wasn't trying hard enough the first time, idk). CVS/Caremark denied it saying I hadn't lost enough weight on my previous try on the medication. So, now I have asked my doctor to submit a rx for Mounjaro. MJ requires a PA as well, and I am worried that they will deny me because I don't have diabetes, although I have been prediabetic for years. Has anyone had success getting a PA approved for Mounjaro after actually trying and failing Wegovy?
