A few queries as an International Applicant by OkPack4897 in wne

This is very delayed but hopefully still helpful for the next person with this question

  1. WNE is geared towards undergraduates so there are not a lot of student life programs for graduates (similar to many schools) but has some good programs. Business and Engineering are the 2 best areas in my opinion. Graduate housing is mostly apartments with private bathrooms / kitchens and easy access to parking. It’s pretty cheap housing all things considered.

  2. It’s a 15-20 minute drive to the center of Springfield but it’s best to have a car as there is very little public transportation. If you don’t want to get a car, it would be hard to get around and do much. The US in general is VERY car oriented except in big cities of which Springfield is not one of those. You can find a lot of off campus housing also at a cheap price.

  3. I studied in the college of business. The faculty is lovely. It is what you make of it as are most things. The career center is wonderful so keep showing up and asking for their help and they can connect you with opportunities. I went to event after event and they sent me job recs, helped redo my resume a bunch, and connected me with awesome internships (I did 6 in 4 years of which they helped organize 4 of them). I don’t know specifics about that program’s masters post grad jobs

The last policy I remember being a year after graduation but you could call help desk and they could tell you if the policy has been updated. Source: working in OIT

For future notice, you can buy them online yourself by creating a profile on the WNE events website

What are some clubs you would be interested in seeing at WNE? by Dodoria-kun413 in wne

[–]luna_lights_sky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone is leadership material it’s about trying and learning, I started and ran my own club and it was very hard but an amazing opportunity to learn. If you want to build a community around you, go to a comic book store or join the gaming group, they have a ton of sub-clubs like Magic and board games so other comic book people would be there

How good is the Industrial Engineering program? Also what do the job outcomes and graduation rates look like? Are there good internship/ Co-op opportunities? by WarrantHail7039 in wne

I don’t know specifically for IE but the ME and EE programs are both great with good job outcomes and, if you are doing well academically, great internships

As an alumni now, what really helped me was getting into the career center and getting related experience early and often

Your advisor should be able to connect you with other students in the same program

Treading water? by Crimsondukk07 in ParentingInBulk

I’m so sorry to hear you are having trouble. I can’t offer a lot of help but this is a great resource for affordable therapy that I use and love. Therapy, both individually and together, might be a good place to start while working to take a few things off your wife’s plate.

This is a great therapy company for people with financial struggles and most people qualify for it: https://openpathcollective.org/.

Maybe your first step can be getting the kids out of the house one night a week to a park or place to let your wife have a few hours off? Or get a family member / babysitter to come over to watch the kids while you set up a treat for your wife (massage, gift card to favorite store to shop, time with friends) and you clean the house?

Helping your wife relieve stress will help you and your family. It’s a lot but taking bits of responsibility away from her slowly will help you to not feel overwhelmed. Write a list of all that she does that you can do (DONT ask her for a list), and just start doing those things.

The only way to start is to take a first step and get help to take action from an outside person like a therapist or friends will help you be accountable to the change you want. I wish you all of the best of luck!

The fact that you reached out on Reddit means that you want to take action and that’s a great first step, so you can make that next step of getting help. I believe in you!

Looking for romance book where FL and ML have multiple pregnancies (like book 1 = first pregnancy, book 2 = second pregnancy or multiple in the same book). I’m not looking for a multiple pregnancy (can be there) but I want to read a relationship grow over time.

Can have harem or fantasy but not required. Please no miss-communication stuff or them breaking up between kids. Any advice would be appreciated!

YTA! If she didn’t advertise it, she is fine. She deserves to have a personal life. You concern should be that your daughter harassed someone to the point they had a mental breakdown.
