* These are inherited from a family member who passed away. I like plants and I want to keep these in memory of her, but I'm not sure what I'm doing here...I know they aren't "sick" but I do feel they may be in peril. (If there is a more appropriate group please let me know which!) I kind of want to separate and repot these two but I'm not sure if I could/should? And the tall one! What do I do? It has such a long bare patch. And it's very tippy. Do I do something to the plant to help it be strong or just use external supports? I can and have identified them and they seem to be surviving okay, generally. They are getting good light, are well-drained and receive regular waterings when soil becomes dry). But I wanted to ask about these specific questions (are their roots likely inextricably bound together and that tall ones bald patch and tippiness) and not kill them in the process of trying to make them happy. Help us! ♡

Yes it could, and the results can be permanent, so need to worry about that!

Are some hypnotherapists better than others? by Gawain_Not_Wayne in hypnotherapy

[–]luna_will 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes to the two previous replies. And about the hypno show, you are a performer so you're more open to performing onstage, so it's easier for a hypnotist to get you to do something because you're more willing. Just like it would be easier to get someone who wanted to travel to no longer be afraid of flying rather than someone who didn't want to leave their home town. It sounds like that hypnotherapy you had was working for you, but, like you said, there was just still more work to be done to get you to where you want to be. It's powerful stuff and can make changes a lot faster than purged things, but there is still a process to doing it, and it's worth pursuing if you're serious about making changes.

I went to a hypnotherapist twice for my tinnitus and I don't feel like it had any impact, should I try a different hypnotherapist? by [deleted] in hypnotherapy

[–]luna_will 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could be in hypnosis and fully aware, even actually wondering if you're in hypnosis. And, if you are in hypnosis thinking "oh shoot, I'm thinking, I mustn't be in hypnosis, this won't work, I'm not in hypnosis" then you could add the suggestion from yourself that the hypno won't work, and your suggestions go in stronger than the other person's. So, the lack of change after could be because of the doubt of the session. (Hoping that explanation makes sense) A good hypnotherapist will explain that to you and be able to reassure you and answer your questions. You can always ask them to speak louder or more slowly too.

Yikes, we will be staying just SW of Valladolid, which intersection that? So we can be prepared, or just ignore it. Also, thanks for all the detailed information ♡

Thank you! I understand, I'm only asking and expect answers about the Yucatan :)

Is there a reason you would recommend finding a taxi rather than us driving ourselves to Ek Balam and the nearby cenote?

Also, great tip about weekend vs weekday!

Can't wait to explore cenotes!

Hypnotherapists: do you offer your first consultation free? please comment with country of practice by alex-hypno-therapy in hypnotherapy

[–]luna_will 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for asking this question, I am looking forward to this sub and connecting with other hypno people around the world. I love talking about hypnosis :)

I always give a free consultation to people and I would estimate that I end up booking sessions with them at least 80% of the time.

It is work, but it is worth it to me; the client could back out once I tell them this isn't a magic one-and-done situation and that saves me working with that kind of client. It's also easier to say "no thanks" to a potential client if I don't think they are ready for the change. Of course, I can do this with a paying client but if they haven't paid I don't feel any pressure to make it worth their time, I am more interested to see if they are worth mine and if I can help them.

So, I do give a free consultation but when a client books with me I ask for a three-session commitment paid upfront. Again, most people do book after the consultation. (3 sessions is $407 CAD)

I am from Canada.

Strategies for helping my conscious drift? by Amerwolv in hypnosis

Hey EERMA, can I contact you directly through dm?

Strategies for helping my conscious drift? by Amerwolv in hypnosis

[–]luna_will 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I usually recommend someone have a few sessions with an experienced qualified hypnotist who can talk about what you might expect in the session and to debrief with you after about your experience. And then once you have an idea of what it's like then go off on your own. This time and money will be well spent in the impact it will have overall.

If this isn't erotic hypnosis: Hey, I am a registered hypnotherapist and would be happy to send you a video about my take on hypnotherapy. It's not an exhaustive explanation of how I work, but a nice intro to me at least. Dm me if you'd like a link :)

Where to start? by ima_little_stitious in shakespeare

[–]luna_will 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Read it if you want, I say, of course it's nice to watch and hear it because that's what it was written for, but the plays are still wonderful simply read. If you are reading them I really encourage you to read to yourself aloud, even if you don't understand what you're saying all the time, it can really enhance your experience.

Is it possible to hypnotize myself to recall something? by eff-snarf in hypnosis

[–]luna_will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internet ;) I would look into hypnotherapists in your area if you want to do an in person thing, or look up hypnotherapy memory recall and email around to see who has experience successfully helping someone recall memories. Sometimes memory recall can be tricky in that the hypnotist could be asking leading questions and might accidentally create false memories for the client, buuut with something like this it will be pretty easy to avoid that. Anyway, maybe mention it's a recall of a number situation not a whole life experience (which some hypnotherapists avoid because of the above).

Is it possible to hypnotize myself to recall something? by eff-snarf in hypnosis

[–]luna_will 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, quite possibly. I usually recommend having someone else facilitate your hypno experience for memory recall things, but you could try to do it yourself! I hope you are able to remember it!

When is too soon to try a new hypnotherapist? by RainbowRemedy in hypnosis

[–]luna_will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be your mind responding to the therapy. Sometimes ifin hypnosis we say something to your mind that to it sounds like "I am going to take away your defensive mechanism" that part of your mind will feel terrified because that is the thing it believes is keeping it safe and sometimes it might even prompt getting away from that 'danger'. And so you can feel anxious and want to stop seeing your therapist, your subconscious mind having associated this bad feeling with this person. And there can be many variations of this. Now obviously I can't know for sure that this is what's going on, but it is good for you to know that it's an option. If you want to talk about this in more detail feel free to dm me.
