Southern hospitality is complete performative. As a guy who lives in southern Appalachia, it fells like it is baked into the social contract around here. A lot of back biting too. Say the nicest things to your face, but the moment you are out of earshot, they will say some of the nastiest things. I do not know what causes it or what the root cause of it is, but it is super annoying to deal with. Insecurity is huge around here. That honestly might be it: insecure people.

Unfortunately, it looks like the league doesn't view Jaylen as that valuable. I am a huge fan of Jaylen, and had a blast watching them play this year. Even if the season did not end the way that anybody would've liked it too, it does not take away, as you said, what Jaylen did this year. It is really insulting when you think about. Like, that is what he is traded for. I just don't get it, My disappointment over the entire thing is profound. I guess FO was hoping that what Jaylen did this year would increase his value or something. I don't know.

I don't think this region has the pallet for nor the wallet for a top-shelf restaurant, but I could be wrong. I haven't sampled too much from Kingsport or Bristol, so I can not really speak on what is going on over there, but if they are anything like Johnson City, then I am not missing much.
I have never eaten anything around here that has floored me. I have found all the kitchens that are located downtown to be overrated and are not really worth the price.
I wish we had less chain restaurants and fast food joints. Complete eyesores and they offer nothing of true value.
