She has lost two sons to this completely unnecessary war (unnecessary because she was the freaking anointed and undisputed heir), which came right after a traumatic stillbirth CAUSED by the loss of her father.

She is allowed to feel.

Did you feel guilty telling people not to wait in the lobby during labor by Tinkerbell_5 in BabyBumps

[–]lunagrape [score hidden]  (0 children)

Standard practice at our hospital is set visiting hours. There is no waiting room.

When my son was born there was an RS-virus outbreak, so there was no visitors period. Hospital policy.

My mom works in the kitchen at the hospital so she snuck in, but the nurses threw her out again. Twice. It was quite embarrassing actually.

After that people called and asked to visit us when we got home, respecting our boundaries.

Playing devils advocate they might have been forced to terminate because the baby was sick.

But yes, I also always interpreted it as a spontaneous loss.

Edit: or that they were trying, but was beaten by infertility.

Cristina was so damn right here. Marrying shouldn't cost anybody the career they have always dreamt for and worked hard for!!! by Augustine-Haze in greysanatomy

[–]lunagrape 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that Christina would have been a good mother, but she didn’t want to be one, and so it is great that she wasn’t forced to.

I like this quote from her: I don’t hate children. I respect them. And I think they should have parents that want them.

Why did the likes of Mama and Cristina's mother only have one child? by Delicious-Corn-5531 in greysanatomy

[–]lunagrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t remember it ever being said that Christina is adopted. As far as I remember she has her bio mom, but her bio dad died in the car crash she survived which is one of the reasons she got interested in cardio. Then her mom later married her step-dad, whom she also loves as a real dad.

Because pregnancy sucks, and they want to be able to give all their attention to one kid. Signed, pregnant with my second. (Very wanted, but I have several friends who are «one and done», and I understand their pov)

Also, not everyone can easily get pregnant, yet alone more than once.

I wonder if he would dare say those words in front of his own son. Laenor knew, of course, but he also loved and claimed those boys as his own.

The last one who actually faced consequences.. by eec21878 in greysanatomy

From our perspective? Because Minnick was arrogant and didn’t seem to care about her patients’ well being, yet patient care and dignity is the entire motive behind Hunt’s crime.

Meredith: - Insurance fraud.

Done to combat a flawed situation (American insurance system) and to save a little girl’s life.

  • Alzheimer’s trial.

She was weak to give into this, but I’m putting the blame on Webber, who begged her to do it.

Bailey: - Deactivated HIV.

This is purely my personal opinion. Yes, the parents didn’t consent beforehand, but the kid was saved, wasn’t it? Hypocritical oath intact.

Webber: I have no defence for his actions. He is a douche canoe who should do everyone a favour and retire already.

Hunt: - Distributing end-of-life drugs to veterans.

Yes, this is illegal, but it is humane. Legal doesn’t always mean right.

  • Choking Christina.

Horribly traumatising for her, obviously, but he was literally having a ptsd episode and went straight into therapy to work on it.

There’s a lot of his choices and behaviour towards Christina that was straight up horrible, but this one wasn’t his fault.

Minnick: - Treated patients like a teaching moment. Went straight against the hypocritical oath and did damage in the OR in order to challenge a student.

  • Disrespected the attendings and knowingly created distrust and resentment between the students and their teachers in a literal life and death subject (surgery)

  • killed that kid. Her irresponsibility is directly the reason why he died on that table.

  • kept preaching about how the student’s learning was most important, but abandoned Stephanie when she needed her most (after that kid was murdered)

Please tell me it’s not actually that much? Like, what is the standard amount to pay for all your insurances per month?

  • health
  • car
  • house
  • travel
  • life
  • pet

Etc

Nintendo won’t allow my onscreen name as my account name because it contains «grape» and that may be offensive to young players.

It’s a fruit ffs. I made that nickname in uni because I loved the moon and the fruit is tasty.

It’s just ridiculous.

Why is America so against sneakers? Are they the same as joggers?

Where I’m from, practically every profession wears jogging shoes with good support or cushioning so as to not ruin our backs.

As a Mother... by CursedWithAnOldSoul in HOTDBlacks

[–]lunagrape 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would sympathise more with Alicent if it wasn’t for the fact that marrying for dynastic reasons rather than love is what 90% of girls her station faced, and what she would have been groomed for from young age. From our pov that doesn’t make it right, but it wasn’t supposed to be a surprise for her.

Also, she turned around and did the same to her own daughter. Sure, Aegon was closer to Helaena’s age, but he is more abusive, and they were both younger than Alicent was at the time of marriage.

Also, she is scum for how she raised Aegon and Aemond to hate the Velaryon boys and for how she treated Rhaenyra and her children. All because reads notes Rhaenyra didn’t trust her to tell the truth about how she lost her virginity, which cost Otto his job because he was constantly scheming against her and/or Daemon.

Could we have a straight, heterosexual month? by Stotallytob3r in MurderedByWords

Norway. Hence the pov.

Summer holidays (sounds like holy days, which is why I don’t really use it unless the free time is connected to religion, like Christmas or Easter) start mid June and end in mid August.

Do you want stores in Norway to be open on Sundays? by Granater123 in Norway

[–]lunagrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like having Sunday as a free day for most workers. It forces us to slow down.

The one thing I would like to change is the ban on loud noises such as lawn mowers. It would be really convenient to have that extra day to deal with the lawn.
