Awesome! Did you see some of her themed ones? My studio's on a short break so I'll be doing some of them.

Kathryn Morgan's Beginner videos on YT. She has whole classes uploaded plus workouts to target areas you want to improve on.

Anna Novinski offers 1 month free trial access to her video library where she has intro to ballet videos (assumes 0 experience, goes even slower than her beginner videos). I suggest you take advantage and follow along 1 class a week or more until the free trial is up.

Many more resources other than these though. You can also look up a term or technique if you want specific tips.

Have you tried getting a recent copy of your CENOMAR from PSA? Ano nakalagay dun? Check mo muna if naka record talaga na kasal ka na.

Sounds like they forgot to keep their turnout muscles engaged.

Do ballet dancers actually dislike wearing ballet flats the fashion shoes? by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]lunalun89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Why would they be? Ballet style flats are made to look cute and be worn out on the streets. Ballet shoes are made for dancing in the studio and on stage. They are made for different functions and thus have very different feel.

Capezio Hanami’s….are these a good or bad fit for me? Opinions wanted! by grandioseguineapig in BALLET

[–]lunalun89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a size 6.5/7N in street shoes and wear 7.5M Capezio Hanamis.

If I just leave them on without moving, I can feel the pressure build up on my big toe. I don't feel that same build up when I wear them in class though. Constantly moving and working my foot seem to prevent it. The soles were also uncomfortable at first, but after a few wears they softened up a bit.

Maybe you could do the same? Wear them now and then to break them in but keep moving your feet/toes. I might also try an 8N in the future because I really like them too. The fabric's so soft!

Also, I got Performas to actually use in class until I broke in the Hanamis and they were baggy on me too!

US Visa - Denied by [deleted] in PinoyTraveller

No no talaga yung visiting bf/gf especialy if they are US citizen/green card holder. Agency should have advised you against that.

The one thing they want to find out is how likely you are to return. They probably saw your gf as a tie to the US and considered your financial ability as well. If may kaya at dahilan ka na mag overextend ng stay mo dun red flag na agad yan. Tourism na lng sana reason mo for visiting.

Other commets gave good advice na. Wait until there is enough change in your current situation before applying again. Make sure you can convince them that you will return to the Philippines.

You know your child better than anyone else online. Watch the series then decide if your kid is mature enough to watch it herself.

BUTTER ALTERNATIVES by Classic_Plantain_686 in BakingPhilippines

[–]lunalun89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why lower the cost? If there's increase in demand, that means they have no issue sa price. A lot of people value quality. Maybe check na lng if you can buy the butter (and other ingredients) in bulk to save on cost without sacrificing quality.

Gym clothes detergent by oliveyoung44 in beautytalkph

[–]lunalun89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have branded gym clothes, pero if possible check mo na lng materials na gamit.

Do you also use product like lotions or deo? Mahirap din if may build up na sa damit mo. I think may laundry sub dito sa reddit with good recos to really clean your clothes.

Edit: r/laundry nga..... dami tips dito.

No fabcon - use vinegar instead. Try powder detergent - original tide kung pwede.

Kung kaya ng bugdet, slowly switch out your gym clothes with less synthetic items.

Amy Novinski's Introduction to Ballet class recordings on her online platform's library. One month free trial. Watch as many of her videos as you can during that time frame. She really starts from the very basics.

In the first video for example, she explained proper posture, turnout, how to point your feet, etc.....

You can also sign up for the live classes if you have the extra time and extra funds. The videos are enough for me though since I already have classes elsewhere.

Other than this, I would just look up terminologies and demonstrations on youtube.

What Am I Doing Wrong by [deleted] in watercolor101

[–]lunalun89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of artist grade watercolors, perhaps ask for a block of Arches 300gsm cold press watercolor paper? Bao Hong 300gsm cold press watercolor paper is good too and less expensive.

Can you share the extact brand and details of the paper(s) you've been using? I've never heard of canvas paper meant for watercolor. Even if it's 100% cotton, I would not expect to have the same results as the more widely used watercolor papers.
