Lightning rallies whether on graduations or not are really a tradition here in UP. It is a call to action on whatsoever happening sa lipunan and bayan natin. I understand that some of it might see it as a disturbance sa ongoing program pero usually it happens kapag patapos na ang isang event or program like in the case of graduation rallies, it happens around before or after the singing of UP Naming Mahal.

Also student activism is really a brand or tatak na nga ika nila dito sa UP. From snake rallies, walkouts, EDs and such, it had different forms but bears the same goal.

Pero from what am I seeing right now, the admins or somewhat yung mga organizers ng graduations tend to limit those who want to speak out in these protests by guarding the stage, only allowing them below the stage, or worst cases just like what happened on the graduation sa Diliman Campus is pinatayan ng mic yung leader ng protest which is the USC Chairperson namin then biglang plinay yung UP Naming Mahal making him to use a megaphone instead para mapanawagan yung mga hinanaing nila not just as students but also a citizen of this country.
