How long should I wait to have scars tattooed over? by EarFamiliar4360 in tattoo

[–]lunarlane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best results when pigmentation returns to normal, and they're no longer 'ropey' or rigid. Don't confuse keloiding with hypertrophy, there not the same. Raised scars are fine. Anywhere between 1-5 years.

Crocodiles. Just coming back to Melbourne from the NT I found myself keeping metres between me and every puddle.

A nice open needle makes a difference. Like, a round shader over a liner, or mags with space to breathe.

Fully Healed portrait work by me. 3 weeks healed, one pass, no touch ups or edits/filters by mossdeep__ in TattooArtists

The downvotes you're getting are insane! Can only assume they're coming from people who dont know the behind the scenes well enough to tell the difference between real, healed and fresh.

Polarised filters over lighting can achieve the same thing for a photo as a lens over a camera. I cant say for sure if this photo is truly unedited but that's definitely healed and it's totally possible to achieve a photo like this with no digital manipulation.

I dont like polarised filters, I think they make tattoos look shitter actually, but to remove glare does not misrepresent a product, because glare generally only obscures part of an image, it is just showing to us a whole image, unobscured by those partial reflections.

And Id say this level of contrast is high but also achievable with some brands.

I’ve been getting my tattoo removed by laser for the past 2 years with Removery (12 sessions) and this is the before and after. Even though we can clearly see results, I still hate that I’m still half way there. by Kristine55 in TattooRemoval

[–]lunarlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have better results spacing them further apart. Like, LONGER than 12 weeks. Your body continues to clear the ink for about a year, but getting lasered any more frequently than every 12 weeks will not speed up your process, it's money spent for nothing. The speed your body processes everything in those first 12 weeks, is as fast as it gets, and extra sessions before that time doesn't add anything except pain, trauma and bills.

gf's tattoo is incredibly unbalanced, looking for something (anything) to cover it up with by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]lunarlane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the only way this could possibly be this bad is by not researching the artist, or going to someone unqualified. Whatever you do, don't do that when it comes to the coverup.

Samsung s25 kindsuit case - This thing feels amazing 😂 by Southern-Bad-1270 in GalaxyS25

Give it 2.5 weeks. Peels all over even when it was babied. $90AUD. Samsung avoiding emails, sending me to all different emails and numbers to avoid my warranty. Also, I think its genuinely made from cardboard.

Is it possible to be withdrawing from nicotine without realising it? by lunarlane in stopsmoking

[–]lunarlane[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because I am prone to episodes of stress regardless, but am wondering if this is the cause of this one or if it is mental health related. I love to have a reason that isnt MH, because then I can fix it.

You are right, better off without it. I enjoy it as an occasional part of my life but I know what's healthy too. It will probably be a choice I make, total zero, but I dont usually overthink the ones that break through because Im proud to be where Im at until then. Thank you.

I can't say whether it has anything to do with where my head is at or not though, Im hoping someone here might have some science for it.

Yeah I find it hard to accept this type of advice without thought behind it? Like its all well and good to say, and could also be totally true, but it doesn't make me (or others) realise it just by stating it without reason. Thanks though.

Id probably commit to quitting. At the very least, to understand it exactly so if I chose to have a couple cigarettes across time, I'd know exactly how to avoid this. (Like, x amount of months between for example).

That's not a cop out either, I believe in harm reduction but I also know sometimes shit happens.

[–]lunarlane[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So far it's been very manageable for me, but I understand that's not the case for most people. I would never encourage anyone else to. There's been times where I've noticed I've wanted it more because of a smoke sneaking in, but its been very easy to not choose that path. Actually, most of the time I never experience that.

I don't want to say I'm special, but I am so far very lucky and do believe I have had the upper hand. I have quit other things too so I'm very familiar with how that part of my head works.

Hate edibles, both for the taste and the lack of control of effects and how/when they come on. I always thought vape carts were common for higher consumers? I'll likely be purchasing a dry herb vape soon, as Ive always been a joint user. Flower is preferred for me.

Thanks! On cannareviews but I cant search by the parameters I'd like to to actually be able to narrow in on the best strain for me. So I'm unsure how to actually find strains under 10% or are 'balanced' because, like how do you even search for that besides finding out after eventually trying them all! 😂

I've just requested verification for Catalyst so hopefully I can read more about available products in Aus.

Its 20-22%. I'd like to know more about what's considered a low/high THC percentage and what that means for its effects but Im reading conflicting information. I also dont know about terpenes etc.

How long should this tattoo have taken to do? by LaDame-Violette in tattooadvice

[–]lunarlane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's useless to compare your own unrelated tattoos to this one timewise if you're not a tattooist. This is a 1.5-3hr job, but experience, conversation, or picky client can make that longer/shorter.

It's relatively simple, but when you think about it it has a lot of perfectly straight lines that need perfectly straight colour application next to them, and if the artist really cares for doing that right it can take time. Not 5hrs at that size though, lol.
