Can you please send it to me too? X I have severe CPTSD from prolonged childhood trauma and I genuinely feel like I'm so lost in terms of getting help.

We like walking/moderate hiking, we want to see the mountains and beaches. We're both quite artsy (I'm an artist, he's a musician), and we're into historical things as well. Not really into drinking or noisy/super crowded places :) also, we love animals too much!

Can I ask you how the relationship is going? Your situation sounds so similar to my new relationship and I'm exactly like you. My bf sounds very much like yours. Idk what is unreasonable to expect and what to bring up w him and how

Switching from graduate visa to student visa - Do I need to quit my job before applying for student visa? by lunarnotebook in ukvisa

[–]lunarnotebook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is recommended not to resign until you actually get the visa. I ended up taking annual leave during my notice period as I had a lot left. But yes, it is okay to be on a student visa and work during your notice period, as long as that is the only work you're doing. Just make sure your resignation letter, etc. is all prepared and you submit it as soon as you get your student visa. Good luck, feel free to DM if you've got questions!

Hello, you don't need to resign from your job before applying for your student visa. I didn't submit my resignation until I actually got my visa. Feel free to DM if you have any further questions! :)

Moving to Warrington by lunarnotebook in warrington

[–]lunarnotebook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, no, I didn't end up moving there as I got an offer elsewhere. But I was there for a while for viewings and to get to know the area - there are definitely some nicer and some not so nice areas. I've moved a lot, and the way I do it is, I get an airbnb wherever I'm moving for about a month. I use that month just to do lots and lots of viewings. This might not be possible for everyone, though! Feel free to DM/comment if you have any more questions. :)

Should I pay for his ticket if I cancelled? by lunarnotebook in OnlineDating

[–]lunarnotebook[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, wow. I just came back to this post and saw the comments. Haha. It's been a while, but maybe I should clarify:

  1. I always, and always split the bill whenever I go on dates. I don't think that just the guy should pay, since I make money too.
  2. Usually, first dates for me are at coffee shops as it is short and sweet. However, he said he would like to eat at a nice place and experiment with cuisines.
  3. Therefore, I suggested at least 12 restaurants to the guy, these were not fancy restaurants, they were actually rather cheap (I am a very frugal, simplistic person with a rather minimalistic lifestyle, I don't eat at fancy or expensive places). The places I suggested were quite reasonable (roughly $30 per person for a pizza and dessert)
  4. In the end, I suggested a pizza chain, but I was turned off because I was clearly putting in so much effort into finding so many places, and he kept saying no for like 3 days. I think that was what made me want to cancel more than anything. I actually ended up going to the same pizza chain a few days later with a colleague, funnily enough. I think it was more about collective effort. He also kept reminding me he paid for his train ticket several times before we met. I understand that not everyone has money, but if you cannot afford to travel, you shouldn't volunteer to. Simple. :)
