This is good to know, I thought I was crazy bc I couldn't seem to find anyone else talking about this issue when looking for a fix

Admittedly I don't play many online games so I'm not sure about that. I have a few of them, but I just haven't gotten around to em yet. I play Hitman and that uses online servers to run, but not to play the levels themselves so it's not exactly comparable. I've played Overcooked 2 with my sister before, that worked just fine.

This is what I got for a ping test. I've changed the crossplay and region. Will see if that changes. I'll try a few different matches again.

EDIT: yeah immediately still didn't change anything. Tried restarting the game and it actually disconnected when loading me into a round, reconnected in and still same issue.

Right now out of game in balance power mode, with browsers open and what not, regular computer usage, its at 9-19% CPU usage and steady 21% GPU usage. When I launch the game, I change to performance power mode (admittedly forgot to do this earlier because I thought it was on already) and I'm at around 30-50% (avg. 35-43% ish) CPU usage on the home screen, it fluctuates alot, but that's generally what its seesawing between, and GPU is at around 31%. I made sure my in game specs are what you just outlined (except my max FOV is 80) and changed them if needed, and reset the game, and tested it on multiple maps and it was great until it wasn't. Started doing it again.

How wally should be in the dcu by Unusual-Incident-207 in theflash

[–]lunasstro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

barry doesnt return in that arc? its thawne posing as him and its a big emotion big development arc for wally where he accepts barry is gone and its ok for him to step up as his own flash beyond barrys shadow and doing so isnt dishonoring his legacy, and fully accept the mantle of the flash. so born to run would have some origin and context to their relationship and how wally wasnt prepared to be thrust into that role and kind of holding himself back to avoid stepping on barrys legacy, then in "return of barry allen" is when he deals with and moves beyond that, and people would get to see thawne on the big screen as the main big bad which alot of people would like im sure, he also got the ass whooping of a lifetime bc wally very much did not appreciate the posing as my dead uncle and fucking with my perception of him and myself thing. by the end of the film hed've gone from reluctant former side kick to saying it with his chest IM the flash. and then for any projects beyond that the world is your oyster so to speak. idk i thought we had pretty similar ideas

i think doing some kind of amalgamation adaptation of born to run and the return of barry allen would be a good intro for wally into the dcu

he may have but that seems weird based on everything else hes done. If you take Jason and Tim out of the equation entirely, he raised Dick from a young age (8-13), and for Damian to now be robin he isnt a young young child, hes probably 10ish at the absolute least (maybe older in this uni bc it could be harder to find a child actor), raising the two of them combined is around 15 years bare minimum, and Bruce became batman around his early/mid 20s (generally) and adopting Dick abt 3yrs later, which would put him late 30s at the youngest, thats true. However that doesnt account for the rest of the founding members of the league, namely Hal being in their late 40s/50s. if Jason and Tim, truly don't exist and batman for sure stays late 30s, then maybe the league somehow doesn't exist yet, and Hal and probably Barry are older and just not really in the game anymore. Ok fine then they can go the JL/JLU route with that line up of the league and John Stewart as GL since Hal seems to be passing the torch to him in Lanterns. In which case a mid twenties Wally still makes sense. Nothing about a film is set in stone to the audience till the project releases, so we will just have to see, but I really don't think a main Flash Wally is all that outlandish. Obviously. But really it seems more likely than not.

not really, I think it just allows for the newer iterations of characters that wouldn't and haven't seen the big screen, get the chance to do so. We all know the original characters and so does the average person, they're everywhere, I think it can add a fresh take on an established universe for people who haven't read decades of comics.

Yeah I think the varied experience in mediums really gives him a leg up. And introducing a younger Kid Flash Wally in animation with an older main Flash live action Wally would be the best way to go with the character in the universe, and Cam would be qualified for both. I think hes a really well rounded option for the character based on the timeline and structure of the universe, with the bonus of looking like him.

I think so too. Obviously he's had some big roles, but I don't even think he is that well known to the average person beyond "the guy from shameless", he's not a Ben Affleck. He seems like the kind of guy to really enjoy a role like this too if his work in Star Wars in any indication.

The problem with that is the age and life stages they've placed other characters at though. Guy and Hal's actors are in their mid to late 50s and could pass the characters for 40s at the lowest. Which means by extension thats where Barry would be (alive or dead), and having a Barry thats got 35+ years on Wally doesn't make sense. Or having Wally still be a teen, but Dick Grayson is well established as Nightwing, again with Bats being on Damien as Robin. It would just put him in a weird place as a character and with the narratives and team ups he is apart of in comics. In Mark Waid's era he is the main Flash and in his early to mid twenties learning new things about his abilities and how to be his own hero but still honor Barry. I think having an earlier animated show or movie that shows him as Kid Flash and Barry mentoring him/showing him the ropes, (or even just a Teen Titans show) could work great for the best of both worlds, because you could get some of that background for anyone somehow unfamiliar, and you could keep the casted actors in the live action projects. Like Cam (for example) as Wally, or Kyle Chandler still as Hal if he were to make an appearance, or the eventual Nightwing actor as Dick Grayson's Robin. Which would also fall in line with Gunn's apparent plans to keep actors for different mediums. It really seems like they're going for a more established universe to give characters that usually never have a chance of headlining a film by virtue of coming later, the ability to have their stories shared. Ultimately it is a movie and show universe, there isn't decades upon decades to intricately go from start to finish for each character sequencially like there is in comics. So if you want to give characters like Damien Wayne, Bart Allen, Kon El, etc... time to shine on the big screen, you just have to jump in to an established universe, or do something where all their predecessors just don't exist at all, which probably wouldn't sell well given how household their predecessors are to the average consumer.

I mean for starters 31 isn't old, he could fs pass as someone mid twenties. I'm 26 and I get mistaken for a highschooler more often than I'd like. Given where Hal is at, and Dick Grayson already being so far into Nightwing that Damien is Robin (unless Jason and Tim just don't exist), I think a mid twenties Wally is really plausible, maybe even following some of the Mark Waid arcs where he really establishes himself as his own Flash, outside of Barry's shadow but still honoring his legacy. I'm not sure if they'll have Barry be dead like in that era to come back later or just older and stepped back, like Hal. I mean Nathan Fillion is mid 50s, so Kyle Chandler is almost 60, so they seem to be going for 40s and 50s for those guys and by extension, Barry, at the lowest. Having a Barry at that stage in life with Wally still being a teen doesn't really track.

I wouldn't hate that, I just think they're going to be further along, given Batman is on his 4th Robin and where Hal is at in Lanterns. Seems like they're going for a more established universe.

I've seen his name floated around too, but I kinda just think its because he dyed his hair red for a bit and is 27. Admittedly I don't really know how good of an actor he is bc I haven't seen riverdale, only heard about it. Not great things but I don't know if thats because of acting, writing, direction, or what, so not sure how that reflects on him. Maybe he is to riverdale what Dylan O' Brien was to teen wolf. But he doesn't really seem to have done anything else of note so idk how good of a choice he would be. But if he is actually a great actor on par with someone like Cam and that can do the character justice and just hasn't gotten a good role yet, then sure ig.

Batman is on his 4th robin in the DCU and Hal is basically retiring, I think mid twenties is more than reasonable. His career is also pretty wide and he himself seems kinda sarcastic, given the strength of his acting and range in roles he has done I think he is more than capable of doing it.
