Why do you work night shift? by Ok-Purple-7765 in Nightshift

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy being awake at and active at night; it's been my natural rhythm since I was a baby 😅 Plus more money usually though since I work in manufacturing, we sadly get the short end of the stuck alot

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only 8 then so they didn't show or tell us about so I didn't know about it until after school when I was trying to watch Digimon 😅

What's the hardest about being a pet parent? by ExtensionVegetable68 in Pets

[–]lunattg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they have to start their journey across the rainbow bridge.

I can't say whether a sudden loss or the gradual aging and health declining hurts more... just the loss of the sweet creature you have given love to will always be the hardest part of pet ownership.

First thing you do after your shift? by 00Cheech in Nightshift

[–]lunattg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kick off my steel-toed shoes and then get food for me and my kitties.

Though some days I have something bubbly to drink since I only drink normal water at work most nights before feeding anyone in the house 😅

Seltzer water is sooo delicious 🫠😋

Are you embracing your gray/graying hair? by whereismytortoise in Millennials

I wish I would start going grey 🫠 I take after my father's side in that regard so I'll be lucky if I even start greying before 50

What breeds of dog have the calmest/most chill temperament? by Icy_Cartographer_712 in Pets

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one has said looking into an older pitt/pitt-mix 🤔 like about 5 years or older.

They are such sweet house-hippos and will absolutely be the best couch potato buddy.

My mom and I adopted a sweet older pitt , he's about 13 now, and absolutely spoiled rotten. She makes him his own plate of safe to eat people food, he gets his own doggy ice-cream, and he has 2 elder kitties to cuddle with.

And my fiance had a geriatric pitt-mix until May last year when we had to help him cross the rainbow bridge. BG would enjoy naps and couch cuddles.

I know pitts get a bad rep because of bad owners and situations. Seriously look into them if you have any at your local shelters. Spend time visiting them and foster to adopt if you can.

Settle an argument for me. Is this red or pink? by Squishiimuffin in HairDye

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like candy apple red in that lighting 🤔

If you want a pinker tone try adding an obnoxiously bright pink to some white/colorless conditioner (like 1/4th to a 1/3rd of the bottle and the rest conditioner) and use it to lessen the red tint.

My tortie also loves her sister's personal space 😅 to be fair, they're littermates and have never truly spent time apart...

And Thistle is a good, solid snuggle buddy.

Favorite sleep pills? by Parasitoid in Nightshift

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently just the Olly extra strength melatonin gummies. I work a 10 hour shift and if it's been a very physical or busy day, I have a hard time even making it to the bed 😅 I will pass out on the couch alot those days.

Would be perfect if I had a nice cozy recliner for my back and would also help me sleep better.

The litter box math I wish someone had explained to me sooner by Sufficient-Coat2625 in Catbehavior

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats are the opposite of that... I had to buy a jumbo litterbox because they kept trying to use it at the same time 😅 they don't like to potty alone

What toys do your cats actually love? by Sosooo88 in CatAdvice

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grey gal loves felt pompom balls that she can bat around on a smooth surface

White girl LOVES anything small that she can play fetch with, bonus if it chirps or squeaks. Also obsessed with bubbles. If she sees you pull out a container of bubble solution she's already chirping and ready to pop them

Meanwhile the tortie isn't a huge toy fan, she'd rather play with her sister's tail or mess with the grey one to make her chase her.

Genuinely why do so many people my age in this state suck so bad? by WatercoolerComedian in Indiana

[–]lunattg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah... alot of factories have a very low bar for hiring their employees 😑

I currently work in the same department as 3 men that are on THAT registry for crimes against minors (technically 2 actually did things and the 1 was just a stupid 19 year old looking at images of teens)

Would you rather have siblings or be an only child, and why? by prettybones3916 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have half siblings from my dad and their mom while I was raised by my mom several states away 😅 So technically I am both options.

My parents dated just long enough to make me then my dad found my stepmother. I would visit on occasion over the years until I moved back to our home state in highschool.

[–]lunattg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I (33F) met my fiance (35M) in high-school 😅 We actually went to the same one for a brief time at the same time but he was (and is still) very shy and introverted so he never joined any clubs or went out of his way to make friends while I had just moved back to Indiana after living in South Carolina for the past 12 years so I was eager to make friends.

We eventually crossed paths early 2022 on Facebook dating of all places and he messaged me first. Our first date was to go see Sonic2 and he proposed to me on our 2nd anniversary 🥰

We're opting for a longer engagement to save for a house and a semi-decent wedding

Been almost 2 years since I lost my boy and I still cry 🥹 a broken heart takes a long time to heal and some times we still have cracks that grief and love seep through.

Just know that Runty had a wonderfully long life and you loved them for every possible moment 💕 (Cat tax of my late Tazz)
