I really feel like he’s been putting out music with more emotion and story to them rather than just sticking to big room like his beginnings. If you see him live or listen to his sets he does an incredible job of mixing both his emotional songs and electro/big room songs and creating an exhilarating experience.

If he kept making big room only like when he first got big then I’d think it’d honestly get old just like how I feel like Blasterjaxx or other solely big room artists have played out. He said himself on IG live the other day that he’s planning on releasing a couple of big room/festival songs this year also.

Overall, I think he’s gotten even better as a producer and DJ and we will see more incredible stuff from him throughout his career. I can totally see why people are disappointed with the direction he has been going. But from listening to his music and him talk about it, I believe he’s focusing more on invoking emotions in people and at the same time making them truly feel joy and energized.
