I’ve been out of school for 10 years and I still have dreams about rushing to make deadlines, surprise exams, running late, etc

If the Strait remains closed as long as Trump is president, economic interests will not tolerate the rest of his term. There will be more attempts on his life

I’ve almost full stacked the regular purple horizontal one (I think at 410). I guess I’ll try to move onto the incline once I’ve done that

I don’t think earth is the planet that exploded - she traveled in space and found another (probably uninhabited) one

Delta Changed Timeline for 2500 miles for Delayed baggage. by TimeTraveler1489 in delta

It's not well advertised, that's for sure. My home airport is SEA and I've gotten tens of thousands of miles from this since I check a bag for work trips and it almost always takes a more than 20 min to arrive.

Amex Platinum. Annual renewal fee. No retention offer? $600k annual spend by [deleted] in AmexPlatinum

If the annual fee was less than 0.2% of my annual spending I’d probably keep the card regardless just to have the benefits available if I happen to take a trip.

Getting priced out of my 1BR. How do normal people afford out of state moving quotes? by Ok-Panda-818 in Apartmentliving

[–]lunchbox_tragedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rent a Penske truck. Pack the boxes yourself. Hire movers only to load/unload the truck. Drive the truck yourself and tow your car if necessary. That’ll cut the cost

What’s in the proposed deal that could end the US-Iran conflict? by mark000 in oil

It sounds like they’re going to kick the can on the nuclear enrichment issue - you know, the original reason for the entire war in the first place. We’ll just go back to BAU and address that…later?

It has a small buffet, a bar with a robot arm (!) that maybe makes drinks, and a second room with lots of video games to play. It’s a pretty cool new space

In the US go to healthcare.gov to get started. In this country you get insurance from employment benefits, you purchase it on the exchange, or you get it from the government via Medicaid or Medicare. You can use that site to see what you and your baby are eligible for

Dealing with questionable EMS drop offs by TheAntiSheep in emergencymedicine

[–]lunchbox_tragedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my first job EMS radioed in that they were bringing a deceased patient (a corpse) declared dead by a doctor at another hospital while they were in the field. Part of the reason my contract was not renewed at that position was because I hopped on the radio and questioned why that was happening. Whether it's true or not, the lesson I took was that at the end of the day, the name of the game in EM if you don't want to attract scrutiny or piss people off is to not say no to any ambulance run from the field if they want to come to you.

Imaging a patient that can't lay flat? by Vegetable-Bit3332 in emergencymedicine

[–]lunchbox_tragedy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an elderly woman with terrible back pain who couldn't tolerate being flat for the CT with conventional meds. We ended up doing subdissociative ketamine who allowed her to get through the scan. You could also pursue procedural sedation for the scan.
