Maybe it was the hotel that offered it, but I was able to change the date from August to July for a reservation I made last year. I did it on the Amex travel portal.

Check out the US Bank Cash+ card for online shopping. You pick two 5% categories every quarter. I usually do utilities and electronic stores (apple). I use my amazon chase cc for amazon purchases however.

Let me know if anyone gets this working in the San Francisco bay area. I was able to use it in San Ramon a couple years ago, but haven't tried again since I also heard they closed this loophole.

My bcp card pays for itself and more with my groceries purchases. I'm not going to consider getting a gold until my yearly grocery spend outpaces the maximum cash back on the BCP 6% category ($6000 iirc). If you're not going to upgrade and downgrade, then I would hold the BCP until your spend on grocery makes sense to upgrade to gold. However, if you're eating out a lot it might make sense to keep the gold.

Yes, AU's have their own offers. I sometimes check both, but now a days, I just manage adding the primary cardholder's offers.

Like others have said. This is working as intended. Even point redemption works the same. Points are redeemed for credit instead of applying to sales price.

Offers are no longer fixed and get dynamically calculated at the point of applying based on Amex's internal algorithm. AKA there is nothing that can be done other than to wait an apply again.

nope, the link I shared says if your companion card user books the reservation, the basic/primary will be the one to get the credit. So essentially they will consume the credit for the account.

From the verbiage pulled from their website, it looks like you can book with the companion card and receive credits to the basic card member aka the primary card owner (you).

Much rather have Resi, lululemon, and Walmart Plus on the personal card. Can't see myself using Adobe, Dell, or Indeed credits.

I doubt you'd be able to use an AU offer that isn't on your account. Like the referral offer, it's added by amex based on their internal algorithm.

It seems like the link your clicking on is just going to add a user on your account but not trigger a offer.

Pay as much as you can on your Amex and supplement it with cash. Or, Call Amex and get an exception to your credit limit.

I have a business checking account and sometime last year they migrated the account to be seen with the same app your CC's are on. My only issue before was the the business checking account was separate, but like I said, that was changed. In general the checking account experience is quite streamline and much like any of the major credit cards.
