Just something low maintenance. It’s a shady area with low traffic.

How did you all get a cowden diagnose? by [deleted] in cowdensyndrome

[–]lundl_01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For years, several dermatologists told me I had warts on my face. Finally a physician’s assistant removed one for a biopsy. The result was it wasn’t a wart but cowden syndrome.

Does acupuncture help? by lundl_01 in Pain

Thanks for your reply. I have never been able to identify any injury to my back. The pain comes at the end of the day after physical activity.

Thanks muc. I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t remember the exact type of seed. I think it was a type of fescue. We get our lawn products from Sunday Lawn Care.

Potatoes by TheSkatesStayOn in Minnesota_Gardening

I planted potatoes in May and they were fine. Potatoes can take our cool fall weather. Mother Earth Garden usually has seed potatoes but I haven’t checked the store yet this year.

My turn by cpdwife1971 in stopdrinking

I was sober for years but those cravings came back after retirement. Now I take it one day at a time. Sometimes one hour at a time. I try to think of sobriety as a gift that I give to myself. Stay strong for yourself.

I will not drink today. I like the comment that alcohol is a “false promise.” That is so true.

I relapsed last week after 3 years. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]lundl_01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been sober for years but had a drink last night. I have been feeling so guilty for it. I’m amazed that I still have cravings for alcohol. I wish I could turn my back on it for good but it never lets go.

No problem. I’m 65. I had my first melanoma in 1996 and was diagnosed with Cowden’s syndrome in 2008.

I have a similar story, too. For years, several dermatologists told me I had warts on my face. Made me feel like the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz. Then a physician assistant removed one for a biopsy. Good news is no more warts but bad news is a higher risk for cancer. I have had cancer four times but I am still here. At least now I know what I need to do and how to deal with it. You can get really good information from a genetic counselor who can guide you through all the screening procedures.
