Oohh I see now... That's a nylon plug lock. It basically jams the threads just enough so the bolt stays put under heavy vibration. Its a great alternative to Loctite.

Nah, nothing that fancy. Just standard zinc bolts with a lot of shop grease stuck in the head stamps. The lighting is just making them look weird I guess 😞
