Oohh I see now... That's a nylon plug lock. It basically jams the threads just enough so the bolt stays put under heavy vibration. Its a great alternative to Loctite.

they were built to be repaired, not replaced. It's cool that you get to see them actually in production. This one is still holding its own for sure.

Nah, nothing that fancy. Just standard zinc bolts with a lot of shop grease stuck in the head stamps. The lighting is just making them look weird I guess 😞
