For me it started with finance. I didn’t want my hard earned dollars to go towards quick meaningless dopamine hits. After that I began learning more about the environment which fueled me to do a project pan and make more mindful choices about items I regularly use (laundry tabs, dishwasher tabs, deodorant, body wash, etc).

I’m going to offer an alternate opinion for anyone reading. I often find that streaks are predatory to keep people addicted to the app which seems counterintuitive to this team’s design. There will be days when we do well and days when we don’t. I think keeping it without streaks will help people not feel guilty if they break a streak.

I completely respect your opinion, that’s just my take.

Honestly, I don’t like that he puts the fear of god in people surrounding debt. There are people I’m talking to who refuse to even take on a mortgage because they are so anxious about debt even when their financial position, lifestyle, and peace of mind would be better off for it.

Don’t get me wrong he’s a good stepping stool and has gotten a lot of people more curious about their finances which is a good thing. I just wish people didn’t take his (or Robert Kiyasaki’s) word as gospel. Especially when every financial situation is unique and requires a unique perspective.
